Easter treat bag idea using Celebration Duo Embossing Folder

Posted on March 22, 2017March 27, 2017 by Josee

Hello! Before I show you today's Easter treat bag idea, I have some good news and some not so good news…the not so good news, ok, the bad news is that the 6"x6" Glimmer Paper Pack is no longer available as a Sale-A-Bration freebie! It is sold out! 🙁 (In case you missed it, the Card Tin is also sold out) The good news is that some new items have been made available as freebies for the last weeks of Sale-A-Bration! Here they are:

That means with every $60 you spend (before taxes and shipping) you get to choose one of these products for FREE! Or choose one of the many other Sale-A-Bration products. Check out those out here.

Now, onto today's project, which is a very easy to make Easter treat bag. Yes, another one! In case you missed it, I posted this one yesterday. I used the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders from Stampin' Up's 2017 Occasions Catalogue to decorate this treat bag.

How To Make This Easter Treat Bag:

I took a strip of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot in the 'Happy' Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Once the cardstock was embossed, I rounded the corners of the cardstock strip with the Project Life Corner Punch.

Then, I took the White Craft Ink and the paint splatter stamp from the Happy Celebrations stamp set and stamped over the debossed word.

With the Black Stampin' Write Marker, I inked up only the word Easter from the Easter stamp in the Suite Sentiments stamp set and stamped it below the word happy so that it would read 'Happy Easter'.

A few Pearls Basics Jewels were added to the corners.

With a few pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive, I added a Delicate White Doily to a Kraft Tag A Bag Gift Bag and then added a circle of Gold Metallic Thread on top. Then the greeting strip was adhered on top to hold the thread in place.

Now, just fill the bag with some treats (or whatever gift you want to give) and staple the bag closed or just use a bit of glue or adhesive to keep the bag closed.

Easter treat bag using Bold Butterfly Framelits and Suite Sentiments stamp set

Posted on March 21, 2017March 27, 2017 by Josee

Hello! I've got a super easy Easter treat bag to show you today! To make this Easter treat bag I used the Bold Butterfly Framelits and the Kraft Tag A Bag Gift Bags from Stampin' Up's Annual Catalogue as well as the Suite Sentiments stamp set from Stampin' Up's 2017 Occasions Catalogue. I hope today's project inspires you to get creative with your gift bags!

Easter treat bag using Bold Butterfly Framelits and Suite Sentiments stamp set

How To Make This Easter Treat Bag:

To make this Easter treat bag, start with a Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bag and choose a shaped framelit or thinlit- I chose to use the Bold Butterfly Framelits to cut a butterfly shape.  I ran the bag through the Big Shot allowing the die to cut through both sides of the bag for a peek-a-boo window.

Then I worked on the bag topper- I used the Banner Framelits to cut Soft Sky and Whisper White cardstock in layering sizes and then scored both die cuts in the middle to help fold them over the top of the bag.

On the Whisper White banner tag I stamped the flowers from the Falling Flowers stamp set in Blushing Bride ink and then stamped the Easter greeting from the Suite Sentiments stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink.

I added some mini chocolate eggs to a Gusseted Cellophane Bag and placed it inside the die cut paper bag, so the eggs would peek-a-boo through the Butterfly shape. I folded over the top of the bags and placed the folded banner tags on top, added a string of Blushing Bride Sequin Trim and used the Handheld Stapler to hold everything in place.

Now, if the chocolate eggs don't get eaten before Easter, I will have an Easter treat bag ready to go! 😉

Stampin' Up Stamps:

Suite Sentiments- 142968 wood mount, 142971 clear mount; Falling Flowers- 139553 wood, 139556 clear mount;

Stampin' Up Paper:

Soft Sky-131181 , Whisper White- 100730

Stampin' Up Ink:

Blushing Bride-131172 , Memento Tuxedo Black-132708

Other Stamp Supplies and Tools:

Blushing Bride Sequin Trim-138400, Bold Butterfly Framelits-138135, Handheld Stapler-139083 (& Silver Mini Staples-135847), Banner Framelits-132173, Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags- 138315, Gusseted Cellophane Bags-141704

Thanks for coming by the blog today! I hope you are inspired to make some Easter treat bags using your stampin' supplies!

Cheers to St. Patty’s Day- Love Sparkles stamp set

Posted on March 17, 2017March 12, 2017 by Josee

Hello! Happy Friday and Happy St. Patty's day!  Whether you are Irish or just Irish for the day, I hope it's a lucky day for you! Today's post will be quick with this St. Patrick's day card that was created by Debbie Flattum and shared with me in a card swap I participated in. It uses the Love Sparkles stamp set from Stampin' Up's 2017 Occasions Catalogue. Of course, this card can really be used for any occasion, but the colors and shamrock made from the heart stamp from the Love Sparkles stamp set are perfect for a St. Patty's day wish of luck.

Cheers to St.Patty's day! Love Sparkles Stamp set, Stampin Up

Debbie used the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper, Emerald Envy cardstock, ink and taffeta ribbon to get this look. I love how she used the heart stamp to make the shamrock and framed it the the Stitched Shape Framelits. The Cheers greeting punched out with the Decorative Label punch works wonderfully!

Easter card: Foxy Friends Easter Bunny and Happy Celebrations stamp set

Posted on March 16, 2017March 27, 2017 by Josee

Hello! I am back tody with another Easter project- this time an Easter card. I had some fun putting this card together! This Easter card features the Happy Celebrations stamp set as well as the Foxy Friends stamp set and Fox Builder Punch to create the Easter bunny.

Easter card using Foxy Friends and Fox Builder punch, Happy Celebrations stamp set , Stampin Up

How To Make This Hand Stamped Card:

I started with a Crumb Cake cardstock base. Then, I put the Foxy Friends Easter Bunny together the same way I did in this post using the Foxy Friends stamp set and Fox Builder Punch. Except for this bunny, I used Crumb Cake cardstock and I inked up the face stamp using a Chocolate Chip Stampin Write Marker for the eyes, whiskers and mouth and Melon Mambo Stampin Write Marker for the nose. I used the Chocolate Chip marker to draw teeth in his mouth too. Instead of a carrot, I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch (trimming off the balloon tip with scissors)to punch an Easter egg out of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper for him to hold.

Easter card using Foxy Friends and Fox Builder punch, Happy Celebrations stamp set , Stampin Up

I used the Layered Square Framelits to die cut Blushing Bride and Whisper cardstock for the bunny to sit on. I stamped the Whisper White square with the Playful Backgrounds circles stamp before adhering the bunny to it with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I set aside the bunny cluster and got to work on the greeting. I decided to use Whisper White Craft ink to carefully ink up the 'H' and 'PPY' from the HAPPY solid stamp from the Happy Celebrations stamp set and stamped them so there would be a bit more space for the 'O'.  Then, I used the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker to ink up the 'HAPPY' outline stamp, leaving out the 'A'.

Easter card using Foxy Friends and Fox Builder punch, Happy Celebrations stamp set , Stampin Up

Then, I used the marker to ink up only the word 'Easter' on the Easter stamp in the Suite Sentiments stamp set and stamped that below the large greeting.

The Balloon Bouquet Punch was then used to punch Whisper White cardstock. I used Paper Snips to cut the balloon tip off the larger punch out, and then stamped it with Blushing Bride ink with the striped stamp from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set, rotating and stamping the stripes a second time to create a bit of a gingham look.

The Easter egg was then adhered between the letters with Stampin Dimensionals so the greeting now reads 'Hoppy Easter'. 🙂

The squares and bunny cluster were then adhered to the card front to finish off the card.

Stampin' Up Stamps:

Stampin' Up Ink:
