Love of the Season

Christmas in traditional colours is nice, but I love making cards with non-traditional colours. Pink is my fave so I played around with some of my favourite pinks on this card. The Whimsical Trees stamp set is a great set to use for fun cards!

Using a Widow Sheet on a card makes it look like the tree is floating!

Dimensions

• Flirty Flamingo: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″. Cut at 7 1/2″ and 9 1/2″
  (Tip: When I make a card this way, I use my scoring blade on my trimmer to make the score mark as you are folding against the grain of the paper)
• Flirty Flamingo: 2 qty- 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ AND 2″ x 4 1/4″
• Designer Paper: 1 7/8″ x 4″ AND 1 1/2″ x 4″
• Window Sheet: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

Directions:

1. Score the Flirty Flamingo cardstock at 5 1/2″ then cut the length at the card at 7 1/2″ and 9 1/2″. Keep the pieces aside.
2. Place Tear & Tape adhesive on the inside front flap of the card on the top and the bottom. Carefully place the Window Sheet so it lines up to the fold of the card.
3. Place Tear & Tape adhesive on the back of the smaller Flirty Flamingo cardstock on the top and the bottom. Line it up to the bottom of the Window Sheet and press down. (Tip: I used a microfiber cloth to touch the Window Sheet so that I did not get fingerprints on it).
4. Adhere the 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″Flirty Flamingo panels to the front and back of the Window Sheet at the bottom.
5. Adhere the 2″ x 4 1/4″ Flirty Flamingo panel to the back of the Window Sheet so that it covers the adhesive.
6. Adhere the designer paper to the card.
7. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Cut out using the Rectangular Postage Punch. Line up the punched shape back into the punch and cut it out again just above the top of the greeting.
8. Cut out a tree with Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride cardstock using the tree die.
9. Take the middle parts of the Flirty Flamingo tree to use with the Blushing Bride tree.
   
10. Adhere the tree to the card using Liquid Glue, then add all the middle pieces.
11. Cut out the star and the ornaments with Silver Foil paper and adhere them to the tree.
