Blast from the Past: Father’s Day card

This week, I haven't had much time to prep for Father's day (don't tell my hubby) since I've been really busy getting ready for my Mega Stamp Day- Summer Party. I cannot wait to stamp with some awesome ladies…we always have so much fun.

I love this event so much, the ladies get to stamp 20 cards and come away with a good bag of $20+ of products. I've seen a sneak peek of the Holiday catalogue already and am already planning my Mega Stamp Day- Holiday Party.

So for today, I thought I'd bring back a card that I had posted year's ago…though the designer paper might be retired, the idea still works!

Fun with Stampin’ Up! Sponges

Gone WildIt's Wednesday and this means it's my turn for Stampin' Girls Gone Wild! I had so much fun creating this card and playing with such a simple stamping tool- SPONGES!

spongesThe sponges come 3 per pack and I like to cut each one up into 8 little pie shaped pieces. I've started to label them so that I can keep organized and make sure that they stay with the same ink colour.

 

I've used a fun new stamp set called Happy Day that has a nice mix of images and greetings and created a background with Island Indigo, Marina Mist & Early Espresso ink.

Stampin Up Happy Day 4I think the gold embossed butterflies really make a lovely touch to this card…don't they look so magical?!
