Cheers to the Year stamp set, wedding card, Champagne Foil, Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper

Cheers to the Year Wedding Card

Posted on September 26, 2017October 13, 2017 by Josee

If you visit here often, you may know I love a good, versatile stamp set. A stamp set that can be used for several occasions is a great bang for your buck! The new Cheers to the Year stamp set from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue is one of those stamp sets.  Here I used the stamp set and some of the products from the Year of Cheer Suite to create this gorgeous stamped wedding card!

Cheers to the Year stamp set, wedding card, Champagne Foil, Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper

How To Make This Hand Made Wedding Card:

This card starts with a base of Thick Whisper White cardstock. Then a piece of Champagne Foil sheet was cut to fit on top.

The Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper was cut to mat on top of the Champagne Foil Sheet, but first it was run through the Big Shot in the Sweetheart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder– making sure to keep the heart centered. This embossed layer was adhered to the Champagne layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added to the cardfront.

Then, the Sweet & Sassy Framelits were used to cut a piece of Champagne Foil sheet to the create the large heart and a piece of Whisper White cardstock to fit on top with a smaller heart die.

The Mr & Mrs from the Cheers to the Year stamp set was then stamped in Basic Black ink in the Whisper White heart. Cheers to the Year stamp set, wedding card, Champagne Foil, Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper

On a strip of Vellum Cardstock, the supporting greeting was stamped with Basic Black ink and heat set with the Heat Tool so it wouldn’t smudge.  Then, the ends were cut with the Triple Banner Punch.

The hearts were adhered to the debossed heart on the cardfront with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The vellum was laid over top with some Mini Glue Dots that were then hidden under some Pearls Basics Jewels.

Detailed Floral Thinlits Easter treat bag

Posted on March 15, 2017March 27, 2017 by Josee

Good Morning! Today's project is an Easter treat bag that uses the gorgeous Detailed Floral Thinlits to create lovely gift packaging. These dies really make this project so quick and easy to put together! By just switching up the stamped greeting and the treats inside the cello bag, this treat bag could be used for wedding favors or briday shower favors.

How To Make This Hand Stamped Easter Treat Bag:

I started out with a sheet of Blushing Bride cardstock cut to 8"x4"- I die cut each end of the sheet with the Detailed Floral Thinlits. This die cut job is much easier with the help of the Precision Plate and the Die Brush! After both ends were die cut, I scored fold lines just below each die cut to create a flat spot for the cello bag to sit in.

Then I die cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Lots of Labels Framelits and scored it down the middle of the long side to create the bag topper.

With Blushing Bride ink I stamped the filigree from the Designer Tin of Cards stamp set and then stamped the Easter greeting from the Suite Sentiments stamp set in Smoky Slate ink.

Then the cellophane bag was filled with some chocolate easter eggs and adhered closed (or staple it). Place the filled cello bag inside the Detailed Floral Thinlit die cut piece, then add the bag topper with a strand of Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon in the middle of the fold. Adhere the tag to the top of both sides of the Easter treat bag (or just staple it).

To finish it off, tie the ribbon in a bow.

The best part about this project is that these can easily be duplicated for multiple Easter treat bags! (or wedding or shower favors!)

So In Love stamp set, Stampin Up, Anniversary card, Valentine card

So In Love Valentine or Anniversary Card or Just Because

Posted on January 17, 2017January 16, 2017 by Josee

Hello!

The card I have to show you today uses one of the new stamp sets from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue, the So In Love stamp set. This is such a pretty stamp set with lovely fonts for the sentiment stamps including in the set which are perfect for Valentine cards, Anniversary cards, wedding cards or just because 🙂

So In Love stamp set, Stampin Up, Anniversary card, Valentine card

How To Make It:

This card starts with a base of Whisper White Thick cardstock. Then, on a layer of Shimmery White cardstock I layed down a watercolor layer of Soft Sky ink with an Aqua Painter.

Tip:  To watercolor with Stampin Up ink pads, press the lid of the ink pad into the ink to get a pool of color to watercolor with, then dip the Aqua Painter filled with water into the pool of color.

Once that was dry, I stamped the flowers from the So In Love stamp set with Archival Basic Black ink. I heat set the ink with the Heat Tool to ensure it did not smudge when I did the next step.

Then I watercolored the flowers with Flirty Flamingo ink not worrying about staying inside the lines, coloring a little darker in the areas I wanted some shadowing. That was dryed again with the Heat Tool.

Once the watercoloring was completely dry I stamped the leaves from the So In Love stamp set with Emerald Envy ink and stamped the sentiment with the Basic Black ink. The stamped layer was adhered to the card base.

I used the Clear Wink of Stella to add some shimmer to center and edges of the watercolored flowers.

So In Love stamp set, Stampin Up, Anniversary card, Valentine card, Details at: www.stampingjo.com

As a final touch, I tied a bow out of the Emerald Envy 1/8” Taffetta Ribbon leaving a long 'tail' on the bow and used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the watercolored layer.

Stamps:

So In Love- 143112 wood mount, 143216 clear-mount

Paper:

Whisper White Thick-140272, Shimmery White-101910

Ink:

Archival Basic Black- 140931, Refill- 140928 , Emerald Envy-141396, Flirty Flamingo-141397, Soft Sky-131181

Rose Wonder Wedding Cutout Card

Posted on February 25, 2016February 22, 2016 by Josee

Hello!

I've got an amazing card for you today using Rose Wonder and the Rose Garden Thinlits! This would make a wonderful wedding card!

Rose Wonder, Rose Garden Thinlits, Stampin Up, StampingJo.com, wedding card, hand made card, hand stamped card, Big Shot

How to Make It:

  1. Using Rose Garden thinlits and Big Shot, cut out rose image from edge of Gold Foil Sheet and punch out the Decorative Label from the leftovers. Use Die Brush to remove small pieces from the rose.
  2. Adhere gold rose to front left side of black card stock with Fine Tip Glue Pen (a little goes a long way!) Don’t worry if glue oozes out…it will dry clear. You may need to set a heavy object on top to make it stick…if so, use a piece of cellophane over rose so it doesn’t glue to the object!
  3. Stamp “Wedding Wishes” with Memento Black ink on Whisper White card stock scrap and cut out with the label thinlit.
  4. Adhere the sentiment to the gold label with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  5. When glue is dry on the front of card, cut out around the rose image, leaving a black edge.
  6. Adhere white inside layer with gold foil strip behind the card stock on right edge. Stamp “Wishing You” sentiment in black in lower left corner (covered by card front) and add label to top right corner
  7. Adhere the large pearl to the flower center and smaller pearls to edge of Wedding Wishes (the edge of sentiment label may be covered by the flower, but that’s okay!)

Supplies:

  • Stamp Sets: Rose Wonder Bundle (#140804-photopolymer stamp set AND Rose Garden Thinlit Dies)
  • Inks: Memento Black (#132708)
  • Paper: Whisper White (#100730), Basic Black (#121045), Gold Foil Sheet (#132622)

Of course, you could change up the colors on this and get a totally different look for a different occasion too!

Measurements:

  • Basic Black card stock: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”
  • Whisper White card stock: 3-3/4” x 5-1/4” (inside layer) and scrap to stamp/cut wedding wishes
