I've been playing around for a while with the Decor Elements product line, including the stencils, which I love as they provide so many possibilities. There's a new Decor Elements catalogue now available which includes a bunch of new pieces.
Check out the new catalogue:
The last stencil I added to my collection was from the Summer Mini (page 13) – Mostly Vintage (118877). What really appeals to me about stencils is that you can change them up so easily! This card uses a lot of products from the Summer Mini including the Chocolate Chip 5/8 Satin Ribbon (117287) , Textured Impressions Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976), and the greeting comes from Watercolor Trio (W117050/C120084). Three techniques were used to create this card! Here's a rundown on the simple techniques used:
- Stenciling – The stencil was added to the card using Soft Suede and Bashful Blue Classic Ink, which was sponged. Soft Suded was applied first and then a layer of Bashful Blue on top.
- Shimmer Paint – With the stencil still in place, the image was sprayed with a mixture of Champagne Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol.
- Color Spritzer – The entire card and envelope were "spritzed" with the Color Spritzer and Chocolate Chip and Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Markers.
