Good Morning!
This week's Tuesday post about rainy day boredom got me thinking…Stampin' Up really has so many options to keep the kids busy (and moms too) on a rainy day, or even for just a little afternoon quiet time! 🙂
So today, I've put together a list of the TOP TWELVE Stampin' Up kits that would make the task of boredom busting so much easier! So here they are, in no particular order!
If you have not tried these kits yet, you are in for a surprise! Literally! Each month you receive a box of stampy goodness, and you never know what you will get! Check out this video of June's kit:
Right now Stampin' Up has a great promotion too!
Check out the Paper Pumpkin Pinterest Board to see past kits and what's been included in them! You can join the club and see the offer details here!
Don't want the kids cutting up all your sheets of paper? (They don't always use the paper to it's max do they?) These kits are wonderful! Already coordinated and cut for you! Check out this video for the Greeting You kit:
They would be a great way to bring some stamping with you on your summer travels too! Check out the other Kits available in my store!
Got some boys to keep busy? It can be hard to find stamps that meet the approval of the men in our lives 🙂 Let's face it, we love the girly stuff, they don't. Stampin' Up has a kit just for those guys!
And, based on this Pinterest find, we can always find a way to girly it up so they share!
Have some older kids to keep busy? How about letting them design & create their own stamps? This Stamp Carving Kit allows them to do just that! They can draw their own, print out a design from the web or they can just use the supplied designs and carve away! How's that for giving them creative licence? 😉 Check out this sample I found on Pinterest:
5) Simply Created Build A Banner
Who says you have to make cards? Let them create decor for their bedrooms or an upcoming party with the Build A Banner Kits!
There are even a few kits left in the Clearance Rack if you want Halloween or Christmas themes.
6) Journal Kits
Have them create their own custom journals! They can work on their creative writing in style! They could add drawings, postcards, magazine cut outs or photos too! And of course, they can create cards with any of the leftovers!
Ok, this isn't really a kit, but just because school's done, doesn't mean we stop learning! Learn something fun, check out the online options here. Of course you can also check out StampingJo TV for lots of how-to videos! Kids would love this punch art card:
Let's face it, kids today love electronics! Sometimes we just can't fight it! Let them learn to scrapbook digitally! Download the MDS software here. You can even give the Trial Version a go! Right now, getting prints through MyDigitalStudio is 20% off!
Kids love to mold and smush clay in their hands! Stampin' Up offers Clay Molds and White Clay that can be coloured to match our papers! What else can the kids find to use as molds? You might be surprised at what they come up with and how proud they'll be when they see their creation on a card!
10) Tag A Bag!
Got a party or gift giving occasion coming up? Let the kids get creative with the packaging! Stampin' Up offers many packaging options, and the Tag a Bag kits are a super cute option! They would make great loot bags or party favor bags too!
11) Make Cookies!
Did you know Stampin' Up sells cookie stamps?! How cute would these be all packed up as a gift, or eaten right out of the oven! All you need is the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamp handle, and then choose which set of stamps you would like: Happenings Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps or Seasons Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps.
12) Project Life which I talked about in this post. You can find all the Project Life products here.
Phew! How was that for a list?! 😉 I hope this helps you come up with some ideas to keep those creative juices flowing over the summer and keep the kids from the old "I'm bored" syndrome! 🙂
