Cable Knit Cookie Cutter Reindeer Christmas Card

Posted on September 7, 2016September 6, 2016 by Josee

Good Morning!

I know. Christmas seems so far away. I mean, the kids just started school yesterday and we still have to get through Thanksgiving and Halloween! BUT, since the Stampin' Up Holiday catalogue is now available to order from I have to show you some samples of what you can make! Check out this Christmas card using the Cookie Cutter stamp set and the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!

Cookie Cutter, cable knit reindeer, Stampin Up

How To Make It:

I tried something a little different with this card. First, I lightly spritzed both sides of the 3 ¾” x 5” piece of Whisper White card stock and placed it in the Cable Knit Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder to give a really deep impression with no cracks in the cardstock.

Adhere the embossed piece to the 5 ¼” x 4” piece of the Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Paper using adhesive of choice.

Using the Layering Circles Framelits, take the 2 ½” scallop circle and cut one from the scrap of Delightful Dijon card stock. Adhere scallop circle to the Whisper White embossed layer as shown.

Wrap a piece of the Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine around the previous layer three times and adhere on the back of the panel.

Next, use the 2 3/8” plain circle from the same set and cut one from a scrap of Cherry Cobbler card stock.

Using the 2” scallop circle framelit from the set, cut one from the Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Paper of your choice from the stack. Layer piece onto the 2 3/8” Cherry Cobbler circle and then layer them both onto the Delightful Dijon scallop circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the reindeer image from Cookie Cutter Christmas onto a piece of Soft Suede card stock and punch out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.

Stamp the reindeer again using Cherry Cobbler ink onto a small scrap of Cherry Cobbler card stock and cut out just the nose. Adhere the red nose to the image on Soft Suede.

Take an Early Espresso Stampin’ Marker and color in both the antlers and the insides of the ears.

Stamp the bow tie image from Cookie Cutter Christmas in Delightful Dijon ink onto a small scrap of Whisper White card stock and punch out using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.

Adhere the reindeer on top of the top circle as shown using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Adhere bow tie as shown so that it’s tucked under the reindeer’s chin just a tad.

Cut a piece of the Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine 16” long and fold in half. Tie around the three strands that you wrapped the card layers with in a bow.

Using Glue Dots, adhere two red Jingle Bells so that they are tucked under the bow just a bit.

Stamp the sentiment from Cookie Cutter Christmas in Soft Suede ink onto a ½” x 3” piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Cut as desired on the right end and adhere the left end up and under the Cherry Cobbler circle as shown.
