Now onto the card! I don't know about you, but sometimes I have trouble NOT adding colour to my cards. I mean, I LOVE a pop of colour on my cards, but the Designer Series Paper `Back in Black` makes creating a black and white colour scheme so easy and so eye catching! Even without adding colour it creates such an elegant look. I hope you like it too!
Supplies:
• Stamp Sets – Flowering Flourishes (w #131998 c #126367), Four You (w #130535 c # 130538)
• Card Stock –Whisper White (100730), Basic Black (121045), Back to Black Designer Series Paper ( 133700)
• Stamp Pads- Staz On Black (101406)
• Misc. – Extra Large Oval Punch (119859), Ovals Collection Framelits (129381), Chevron Embossing Folder (127749), Rhinestones (119246), Black 1/8” Taffeta Ribbon (119261)
Measurements:
• Whisper White: 5 ½” x 8 ½”; 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”, 1/3/4 x 7” for ovals
• Basic Black: 4 x 5 ¼”, ½” x 5 ¼”, 2 x 8 ½” for ovals
• Back to Black DSP: ½” x 5 ¼”
Instructions:
1. Stamp 3 Flower images on white strip and punch out with oval punch. Cut 3 ovals of Basic Black with smallest oval framelit. Adhere these pieces together.
2. Emboss 2/3 of 3 7/8 x 5 1/8” Whisper White with Chevron embossing folder and adhere to 5 ¼ x 4” Basic Black cardstock. Stamp greeting on lower right corner. Adhere Back to Black dsp along edge where embossing folder ends. Adhere 1/2 x 5 ¼” black strip on upper part of card where ovals will be adhered. Adhere black ribbon on top of this strip.
3. Fold 5 ½ x 8 ½” Whisper White cardstock in half. Adhere the cardstock from #2 on top. Using dimensionals, adhere the 3 ovals as shown in picture to cardbase.
4. Adorn with rhinestones as desired. Finish by attaching Crumb Cake layer to your Whisper White card base.
