Colorful Season Noel Christmas Card

Happy Wednesday friends!!! Can you believe that it’s only 12 days till Christmas?? I got a bunch of online shopping done yesterday–yeah, for Amazon! I also got to go out with my oldest and got a few Christmas things I needed that I couldn’t buy online. She works almost every night, so it was nice to find a night that we could go out together. Mother-daughter bonding! 🙂
Today’s card is one that I had a ton of fun making. These Large Letter Framelits are super fun to use and the perfect size to make a card. I can’t say that I scrapbook much these days, but, the letters would be perfect for titles on a scrapbook page too!

I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock cut to 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ and stamped the snowflakes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set in Versamark Ink, added White Embossing Powder and then heat set with the Heat Tool. I used our Stampin’ Sponges (cut in 1/8 wedges) to swirl ink on to the cardstock in alternating colours of Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist. The heat embossed snowflakes will resist the ink and they will start to appear on the cardstock creating this beautiful background.

Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock cut to 3″ x 5 1/2″ and use the Large Letter Framelits to cut out the word NOEL. You can use the Magnetic Platform for the Big Shot and place all the letters on at the same time. Adhere the sponged layer to a Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock piece cut to 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ using SNAIL Adhesive. Adhere the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to card in Bermuda Bay (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″).

Take a piece of the silver ribbon from the Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack and tie it around the space between the “N” an the “O”. Attach the NOEL layer to the card using Dimensionals and the card is done!

Gift Card Pillow Box

Today’s project is another easy to make gift card holder- a pillow box- made with the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits and the Big Shot!

How To Make This Pillow Box:

Take two pieces of Old Olive cardstock and the pillow box die from the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits and die cut two pieces the same. Use some Paper Snips to trim off the tab as it is not needed for the pillow box. Line both pieces together and add a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive to the long edge- adhere them together to create the pillow box.

Die cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Lots of Labels Framelits dies. Stamp the die cut with the greeting from the Tags & Trimmings stamp set with Basic Black ink.

Stamp the holly leaves from the Tags & Trimmings stamp set with Old Olive Ink and stamp the berries/buttons using a Berry Burst ink pad. Stamp three more berries/buttons on a separate sheet of Whisper White and die cut using the matching Trim Your Stocking Thinlits die. Adhere the die cut berries where you want them with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Insert your gift card or small gift into the pillow box and then tie a piece of Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon around the pillow box as shown and tie a pretty bow.

Adhere the stamped die cut label over the ribbon and enjoy having another gift done and ready to go!
