Frienship Blooms meets Build-a-Brad

Posted on February 6, 2008February 15, 2008 by Josee

At my Stamp Club night on Monday, this is one of the projects we made. We used the Frienship Blooms stamp set out of the Sale-A-bration brochure. Did you notice that the stamp set coordinates with the Love & Happiness Rub-ons? I didn’t know before ordering them, but, the rub-ons in this package have 4 different coloured sheets. You’ll find a black, white, old olive and Chocolate Chip.
For this card we used a 6×6 piece of Kraft cardstock and folded it in half. We used a Soft Sky and Very Vanilla layer. The ink colour was Old Olive to match the Old Olive ribbon. We added a Pewter Build-A-Brad in the middle of the cut out flower. I love Build-A-Brad, it really adds that special touch to a card.

Here’s how to Build-A-Brad Works

Step 1: Punch hole in middle of flower. Step 2: Stamp Image on scrap pager and use 1/2" circle punch to punch out theimage that you want in your Build-A-Brad.

Step 3: Add a small amount of Liquid glue or glue dot to middle and add 1/2" punched circle. Step 4: Carefully remove top layer from package ensuring you don’t leave fingerprints on bottom and position on top of circle. Press down firmly to set.

Step 5: Place brad in punched holes.

Step 6: Flatten out the back of the brad. Voila!!! You now have a lovely Brad.

Can you picture how many different designs you can do with it? I hope you enjoyed the "How to" of Build-A-Brad!
(Card inspired by a swap from Shalon Doxsee)

Have a HAPPY STAMPING DAY! Josee

I’ve had these sitting around in my stamp room r94 awhile and finally decided to try using them-and discovered I just LOVE these! They are so much fun! Nice tutorial…just an FYI -I found that all it takes is a mini glue dot to hold your stamped image inside the brad-and it gives you instant gratification-you don’t have to wait for CE to dry! 🙂 Give it a try and let me know what you think…
