Boo! Howl-O-Ween Treat!

Good Morning!

Well, I don't know about where you live, but here in Ottawa the temperature has dropped!! Brr! Summer is definitely over! 🙁 Time for sweaters, hot tea and gorgeous fall colors! It also means Halloween is coming soon!

I love this simple Halloween card:

Boo Howl o Ween treat

Supplies:

Stamp Sets: Howl-O-Ween Treat (139687/w; 139690/c)
Paper: Whisper White cardstock(100730), Basic Black (121045), Black Glimmer Paper (139605)
Ink: Basic Black Archival Stampin’ Pad (140931)
Other: Happy Haunting Designer Washi Tape (139608), Boo To You Framelits (139663), Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (100082), Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details (127845), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

Measurements:

Whisper White Cardstock (4-1/4” x 11” card base, scored at 5-1/2”, folded to 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”)
Basic Black Cardstock (3-1/8” x 4-1/8”)
Whisper White Cardstock (3” x 4”)
Scrap of Black Glimmer Paper (for the “boo!” framelit)

Instructions:

Adhere the 3 strips of Washi Tape to the center of the 3” x 4” Whisper White panel.
Stamp the spider image 3 times on the White mat piece using Basic Black ink.
Using the Basic Black marker & a straight edge, draw a line to the spider.
Layer the White mat onto the Basic Black mat and adhere to card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Using your Big Shot, cut “Boo” from the Boo To You Framelits from Black Glimmer Paper
Cut Stampin Dimensionals into small pieces and adhere to back of the “boo” die cut; adhere to card.
As a final touch add small drops of Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details to the spider’s eyes and let dry.

Festive Flower Builder Punch

Good Morning!

When it comes to stamping, there isn't always a right or wrong way to do something. In fact, often doing things 'differently' can get you some amazing results. But, sometimes there can be a 'better' or even 'easier' way of doing something. Doesn't mean any other way is wrong, but it's always worth learning new ways.

Having said that, I wanted to share this video with you today. If you haven't seen this punch yet, you will LOVE it after this video. If you have this punch already and have played with how to use it, this could be a great way of building flowers using the Festive Flower Punch! Of course, you can make smaller or fuller flowers by varying the number and size of the petals you use. I LOVE that she didn't just make poinsettias with it! Watch it right to the end!

What did you think? Talk about a lightbulb moment! This punch doesn't just make poinsettias! I can't wait to play with other colours now too!

Vintage Leaves, Endless Birthday Wishes & Gorgeous Grunge

Good Morning! Happy Friday!

I've got another gorgeous card to show you today using Vintage Leaves, Gorgeous Grunge and Endless Birthday Wishes- all stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue.

Vintage Leaves

Start with a base of Mint Macaron. Cut largest banner from Banner Framelits from Tip Top Taupe and Very Vanilla. Cut about 1/8” from top and both sides of your Very Vanilla Banner to allow matting the layers.

Stamp the Maple Leaf onto a square piece of Very Vanilla in Basic Black Archival. Colour your leaf by stamping the heavy splatter stamp over your leaf in Mint Macaron. Then stamp again just once or twice in Cajun Craze stamping off first. Cut out with Leaflets Framelit in Big Shot.

Using the heavy splatter stamp stamp across base mint card in mint macaroon approximately 1 ½” from the top of card stampin off first. Do the same stamp across the middle of your vanilla Banner.

Adhere the Very Vanilla banner to the Tip Top Taupe banner with snail adhesive and adhere this banner to card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Tie 3 pieces of Linen thread around stem of leaf in a double knot. Adhere the leaf to the banner with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some small pearls fromt the Pearls Basics Jewels to leaf, banner and card base.

Stamp 'Celebrate You' from Endless Birthday Wishes on the bottom of the card base in Cajun Craze.

Dazzling Diamond Vintage Leaves

Hello!

Today's card uses the Vintage Leaves stamp set from the Stampin' Up Annual Catalogue and Lighthearted Leaves from the Holiday Catalogue!

Dazzling Diamonds Vintage Leaves

Start with a Cajun Craze cardstock base. Then stamp the leaves randomly on Very Vanilla using various ink colors: Cajun Craze, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler. Love this fall inspired color palette.

Once dry, ink over the colored leaves with the Versamark stamp pad, covering the entire piece of card stock. Cover the Versamark with Heat & Stick powder and then heat it up with the Heat Tool until shiny & tacky. Then add Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on top of the tacky surface. Heat lightly until dry and the entire surface is sparkly.

Stamp the sentiment from Lighthearted Leaves on Very Vanilla and punch with Decorative Label Punch. Assemble the card, adding the label with Tear & Tape Adhesive onto the glittered layer.
