Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration catalogue: Inside the Lines, plus Dragonfly Dreams

Posted on February 1, 2017February 17, 2017 by Josee

Good Morning! Can you believe it's February 1st already? The first month of Sale-A-Bration is over! Thankfully you have until March 31st to get your free Sale-A-Bration products! Today's card uses the Inside Lines Designer Series Paper from the 2017 Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration catalogue, as well as Stampin' Up's Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and the coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies to create this gorgeous handmade card!

Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration catalogue, Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper, Dragonfly Dreams, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits, 2017 Occasions Catalogue

How To Make This Hand Stamped Card:

This card starts with a card base of Bermuda Bay cardstock.

Then, I took a strip of Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper cut to 2.5" x 5.25" and colored it using the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen; then the strip was cut to 1.5”x5.25” + 1”x5.25” to allow adhering on each side of the cardfront.

Then cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock to 2”x5.25”; with SNAIL Adhesive, adhere the Inside the Lines colored pieces and this strip of Rich Razzleberry to the cardbase ensuring they are level and evening spaced around the edges.

With the Big Shot and the Precision Plate, die cut the cluster of dragonflies using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies and the Silver Glimmer Paper. You will want to use the Precision Plate for a good detailed cut and you may want to run the die through the Big Shot several times before removing the plates. Use the Die Brush to help get the detailed cut out of the die.

Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the dragonfly die cut to the cardfront.

On a strip of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the greeting from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink.

Punch the ends of the strip using the Banner Triple Punch and then tie a peice of Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon around one end. Adhere this sentiment strip to the cardfront using Stampin' Dimensionals.

As a final touch, add a few Rhinestones Basics Jewels.

Oh So Succulent Stamped Card Trio

Posted on January 31, 2017January 30, 2017 by Josee

Hello! Today's cards feature Stampin' Up's Oh So Succulent stamp set to create this cute trio of quick and easy stamped cards. As I was playing around with the stamp set I found myself experimenting a little with the stamps, trying to decide on how I liked to see them stamped. I ended up with this trio of square cards…

Oh So Succulent stamp set, stamped cards, Stampin Up, 2017 Occasions Catalogue

How To Make These Stamped Cards:

For all the cards I started with some Soft Suede cardstock for the cardbases and cut them into square cards. Two of them are 3" x3" and the middle one is 4"x4".

The images are all stamped on Shimmery White cardstock and cut with the Stitched Shape Framelits. Loving these framelits!! Don't they just make it so easy to make a trio of cards like this?

The greetings were all stamped with Archival Basic Black ink.

This card uses Sweet Sugarplum ink to stamp the succulent flowers and Basic Black for the outline. Then I used Sweet Sugarplum Ruched ribbon to accessorize.

Oh So Succulent stamp set, stamped cards, Stampin Up, 2017 Occasions CatalogueThis stamped card uses Emerald Envy ink and Cucumber Crush ink for the succenlents, along with Basic Black for the outlines. The ribbon is the new Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon found in the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.

Oh So Succulent stamp set, stamped cards, Stampin Up, 2017 Occasions CatalogueThis last card uses Flirty Flamingo ink for the flowers and then Old Olive ink for the sprigs.  I added a Silver Metallic Foil Doily to layer behind the stamped oval and added some Silver Natural Trim as well.

I think this would be a great set of hand stamped cards to keep on hand for when you need them, or give a set as a gift!

Sealed With Love Stamped Valentine Card

Posted on January 26, 2017January 23, 2017 by Josee

Hello! I am back with another stamped Valentine card to show you, this time using Stampin' Up's Sealed With Love stamp set. This stamp set and coordinating Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack make it super easy to create not only stamped Valentine cards, but also anniversary and love cards (for you know, just because).

Sealed With Love stamp set, Stampin Up, 2017 Occasions Catalogue, stamped Valentine card

How To Make This Stamped Valentine Card:

This card starts with Whisper White Thick cardstock for the card base. Nice and sturdy!

Then I cut some strips of Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack, one to fit the page and one slightly smaller. The awesome thing about the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack is that the designs are on both sides of the paper so you can choose which side to use!

The larger piece of Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack was adhered to the card front and before adhering the second strip, I tied a piece of Basic Black Baker's Twine around it, then stuck it on.

Take the Basic Black ink and stamp the sentiment from the Sealed With Love stamp set on Whisper White cardstock.

Then, with Real Red ink stamp the little flourish designs from Sealed With Love onto the corners as shown.

With the Stitched Shape Framelits I cut the Basic Black cardstock with the larger square die and then the stamped Whisper White layer with the next size down. I love the dimension these stitched framelits give to the die cuts!

Adhere the die cut layers together and then adhere the ensemble to the cardfront.

As a final touch, add the Metal Rimmed Pearl to the tied area of the Black Baker's Twine.

Stampin Up Stamps:

Sealed With Love-142815 (photopolymer, 2017 Occasions catalogue)

Paper:

Posted on January 25, 2017January 23, 2017 by Josee

Hello!  With Valentine's Day approaching quickly I thought I would show you this stamped Valentine card using Stampin Up's Double Take stamp set from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.

This stamp set is a very cleverly designed set of stamps to create a 3D look with the words and this card is just one of the many ways you can use the stamp set to create stamped Valentine cards, congratulations cards and thank you cards!

Double Take stamp set, Stampin Up, 2017 Occasions, Stamped Valentine card

How To Make This Stamped Valentine Card:

This card starts with a base of Real Red cardstock. Then run the Blushing Bride cardstock layer through the Big Shot with the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Tie the black and white Baker’s Twine around the Blushing Bride cardstock and adhere to the cardbase.

To create the sentiment piece:

1. With Blushing Bride ink stamp the solid lettered 'Love' sentiment from the Double Take stamp set on Whisper White cardstock.

2. With Real Red ink, layer the banner 'Love' stamp on top of the Blushing Bride stamped sentiment.

3. With Basic Black Archival ink, stamp the fine detailed 'Love' stamp on top of the Love sentiment (as shown in the photo)

4. Then, cut out the sentiment with Paper Snips following the lines of the banner stamp image.

To finish off the card, adhere a Lace Doilie to the cardfront using SNAIL Adhesive and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the hand cut sentiment to the card front.
