Thinking of You Today Care

I was challenged to make a monochromatic card. I hadn’t used the By My Side stamp set yet so I pulled it out to use with the new colour Azure Afternoon.
Supplies:

• Stamp Sets: By My Side (159006)
• Cardstock: Azure Afternoon (161719), Basic White (159276)
• Ink: Azure Afternoon (161663), Jet Black St?zon Ink Pad (101406)
• Tools & Accessories: Water Painters (151298), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653], Scalloped Contours Dies (155560], Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon (156485), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Mini Glue Dots (103683)
• Designer Paper: Fresh As A Daisy 12″ X 12″ (161289)

Measurements:

• Azure Afternoon: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”  AND  ¼” x 2 ½”
• Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper: 4” x 5 ¼”
• Basic White Die-Cut: 2 ½” x 3 ¾”

Instructions:

1. Adhere the Designer Paper to the card front.
2. Use the 2 ½” x 3 ¾” die-cut with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut through the 2 layers. (Open the card before placing through the machine).
3. Stamp the image using Memento black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Cut it out using the same die as above.
4. Use a small Water Painter to colour the girl, and the butterfly. (I press the ink pad on to a Stampin’ Block to pick up the colour. Squeeze out a bit of water on the block to mix it with the ink to create different shades of the colour)
5. Close the card front and place the Basic White cardstock through the window to adhere.
6. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Azure Afternoon. (With red rubber cling stamps, I like to stamp then use my trimmer to cut it out close to the writing.)
7. Add glue to the right-hand side of the greeting and add it to the card.
8. Make a small bow and add it to the card using a glue dot.
