Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Wednesday

Posted on August 28, 2013August 23, 2013 by Josee

Stampin' Gals 3

It's Stampin' Gals Gone Wild Wednesday!  Today's is Connie Stewart's turn and the video is Part 2 of a video that she shared a couple weeks ago.

From Connie….You may recall that I shared how to convert your wheels into fabulous border stamps.  Today I am going to show you how to use those borders all around the edges of a card without overlapping – Mitered Corners!

1

Whether you are using wheels or long border stamps, this technique is a MUST LEARN.  You will love the simplicity and ease of making perfect mitered corners on your cards.

2

For those of you who follow the FLASH CARD series on my website, you'll notice that this is a Flash Card as well!  So easy and so fast.  Who doesn't love a quickie card?!3

I really love the bold look of the Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Whisper White!  It's just stunning!

Regarding Dahlias has been one of my favorite new stamp sets here lately.  You know me… I just want to stamp BIG and go home!  lol

Are you ready to learn this great miter technique?  Well, let's go!

Gone Wild

I love Wednesdays!!!  It's time for another STAMPIN' GIRLS GONE WILD WEDNESDAY video!  Today, Connie will be sharing with you a brand new Stampin' Up product – Simply Pressed Clay!

Hey Stampin' Girls!  Connie here!  I  can't wait to share with you today's video!!!

When I saw Simply Pressed Clay in our catalog, I was less than enthused.  I'm just not a "clay person".  Once I tried it, I changed my mind VERY quickly!  This stuff is SO COOL!  I honestly thought I would hate it but it's just the most amazing stuff on the planet!

Simply Pressed Clay 1One of my favorite things about it is that I can make up a BUNCH of flowers, let them dry, and when I need one for a card I can just color it, adhere it, and I'm good to go!

Simply Pressed Clay 2In today's video, I will share several ways to color these FABULOUS clay flowers!  There are so many ways – just pick the one that you like the most!

Stampin’ Girls Gone Wild

Posted on May 29, 2013May 29, 2013 by Josee

Gone WildHey!  It’s Wednesday!!!  That means it’s time for STAMPIN’ GIRLS GONE WILD!!  Connie and I would like to apologize for being a little hit and miss these last month.  With the loss of my Mom and a tornado hitting Connie's hometown, it’s been a wild month for both of us.  Thank you for your patience with us!  One of the many things that Connie and I love about being Stampin’ Up demonstrators is the flexibility we have.  When”life happens”, we know that we can take a step back.  Thank you all so much for sticking with us!!!

This week is Connie's turn….are you ready for her beautiful project?!

1I have been itching to share this technique with you!  A fellow demonstrator, Margaret Raburn, was at my house a couple of weeks ago and shared this technique with me.  It’s amazing!  I have to warn you though – IT’S ADDICTING!!!   Once you try it, you will KEEP GOING!  The laundry won’t get done, you’ll have to eat out for a week because you won’t want to cook, you’ll just want to keep on stamping.  You have been warned!

I love the soft tones of this card and of course, some great dimension!  So Saffron, Pool Party, and Wisteria Wonder are just beautiful together!

Here’s the inside (no card should be naked inside)

4

And while I was at it, I made a masculine version too.  Notice that I used the postage stamps to cover up the flower on the background?  Everything else looked masculine except that.  What’s a stamper to do?  Cover it up!

5

Ready for the video?!

I hope you are inspired!  Now, go clear your calendar and start creating!!  ðŸ™‚

STAMPIN’ GIRLS GONE WILD WEDNESDAY- Stampin’ Up! Lace Tape Background

Posted on March 6, 2013March 13, 2013 by Josee

Happy Wednesday Friends! Today is my day for Stampin' Girls Gone Wild Wednesday where Connie Stewart & I share ideas on each others blogs!

I'mr really excited to share with you another fun background in my CREATIVE BACKGROUNDS series!

Today's project shows a fun & pretty background using the Delicate Details Lace Tape found on page 3 of the Spring catalogue. Have you even noticed it’s there? I know it took me a while to see it but, now I’m in LOVE with this product and what it can do when you use it for a background!!

The lace tape creates an intricate and elegant background and can be done in so many different colour schemes- you have to give it a try!

Isn't it super duper pretty?! 🙂

Share some ,  leave me a comment

Want to know a secret?!

Posted on February 23, 2013February 24, 2013 by Josee

This special site isn’t up and running just yet but we hope to have it up soon! Connie and I have some special tutorials and videos that we are working on. You’re going to LOVE hanging out with the Stampin’ Girls! More details will be coming soon!

There is something NEW and EXCITING coming to Stamping Jo!

Beginning Wednesday, and every Wednesday, I am going to be sharing my website with a fellow Stampin' Up demonstrator, Connie Stewart, who will be sharing her ideas with all of us.  I am thrilled to be working with Connie and can't wait to learn from her!

A little about Connie Stewart – Connie is a Stampin' Up demonstrator from the United States, specifically Oklahoma (you know the song so just go ahead and sing it).

Connie has been a US demonstrator for 10 years and has earned a spot in the Top 100 US Demonstrators for 3 years in a row.  She is also a designer for Paper Crafters Sampler.  You may have seen her videos on YouTube over the past few months – close to 2,000 stampers have!

She is known for her very unique quick card technique called "Flash Cards" and she will be sharing this technique with us too.

Her other passion is making boxes and has created an original Box Maker Shim for our Simply Scored Board.  You're going to love making that!  Connie is the mom of 2 girls, Christina (16) and Ginny (11) and has been married to her knight in shining armor for 21 years.  As a family, they are big into the theatre, more specifically musical theatre.  Connie says, "Life is just one big show tune, after all"

Want to see more of Connie's stamped art?  Check out her website at www.SimplySimpleStamping.com.  You'll see why I am so excited to work with her!

We can't wait to start this fun adventure together on Wednesday!
