My Crafty Friends Monday: March Break Kids Craft Ideas

Posted on March 13, 2017March 10, 2017 by Josee

My Crafty Friends Monday-NEW-SMEach Monday, I like to feature different projects that have inspired me and I know they'll inspire you too! This week is March Break here and we are spending the week at home, instead of on the beach somewhere warm! (At least that's where I think I should be! lol!) If you are home with your kids, this post is for you! I have found some great kids craft ideas you can do with your kids and your Stampin Up papercrafting supplies!

Each project I have to show you today was created by different & amazingly talented stampers that I have contacted to make sure they were okay with me sharing their projects.

Kids craft ideas using Stampin Up products

Create a Diorama or Shadow Box

There are some amazing dioramas and framed shadow boxes to show you. This would be a great project to do with the kids, or something older kids could do on their own.

Juana Ambida created this gorgeous fairy shadow box using the Fairy Celebration stamp set: You can find out how she made this on her blog here.

Sue Vine created this wonderful frame using Foxy Friends: You can find the instructions for this one on her blog here.

This is a great way for them to use their imagination!

Make a pretty Princess Crown (or for your Prince)

I LOVE this gorgeous crown I found by Joanne Rogers (her blog):

Make a Paper Lantern

I love this paper lantern I found by Kathleen Rotti (her blog):

Make Punch Art

Let the kids get creative with your punches and die cuts and see what creations they come up with! Here are a few ideas to get them started:

Jacquii McLeay made this cute monster card (her blog):

Jo Weeden created these super cute Minions using the Owl Builder punch (her blog)!

Make Your Own Bookmarks

I like this cute idea by Kylie Bertucci (her blog): (some of the products used may no longer be available, but I think you will be inspired none the less!)

I have a few ideas I shared here and here.

Make St. Patrick's Day Treat Bags

I like this idea I found by Linda Kaufman here (her blog):

Let them make their own stamped cards!

Most kids love to color and get creative, why not let them use your stamps to make their own cards? They can use outline stamps and color away or use different shaped stamps to create their own designs.

Margriet Tournier made these cute cards (her blog):

I thought this one by Sue Vine was a great example of a simple card kids might like to color (her blog):

No Bones About It Tri-Fold Card

Posted on September 6, 2016August 31, 2016 by Josee

Good Morning!

Today is the first day of school for my kids! I can't believe I now have two kids in HIGH SCHOOL! I'm not sure how that happened, but I do hope my youngest doesn't keep growing as fast! winkAlways mixed feelings about the first day, we all had a great summer but I do enjoy getting back to my routine.

The card I have to show you made me feel like it was a great card to give a child on their first day of school, when they are having a bad day, and even as a birthday card. It uses the No Bones About It stamp set, which is a great one for kids cards, scrapbook pages and any other dinosaur lover in your life.

No Bones About It, Stampin Up

How To Make It:

Stamp the sentiment from No Bones About It in Memento Black Ink on the 5 1⁄4 x 4” Whisper White panel. Stamp Old Olive leaf by words in center of Whisper White as shown.

On a 2×2" piece of Whisper White – stamp leaves in Cajun Craze and Old Olive ink.

Stamp the dinosaur from No Bones about It in in Basic Grey on to Whisper White and cut out with paper snips.

Stamp the footprints along the bottom of Tip Top Taupe using Black Ink.

Wrap Linen Thread around Cajun Craze cardstock and tie a bow.

To adhere the card as shown: Apply SNAIL adhesive to the inside flaps of the TipTopTaupe and Cajun Craze cardstock. Adhere the Tip Top Taupe to the left side of the Whisper White panel. Adhere the Cajun Craze to the right side of the Whisper White card panel. Then, adhere the Whisper White panel to the Old Olive base.

No Bones About It, inside of card; Stampin Up

Layer the stamped 2×2 Whisper White to the 2 1⁄4 x 2 1⁄4” Basic Black and adhere to the front of the Cajun Craze cardstock flap.

Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the dinosaur cut out and adhere to front of stamped white panel.

Measurements: Old Olive: 5 1/2/ x 4 1⁄4” ; Whisper White: 5 x 4”, 2×2”, Scrap for dinosaur; Tip Top Taupe: 4 x 3 7/8” (score at 3 3/8”); Cajun Craze: 3 x 3 7/8 (score at 3 3/8”);  Basic Black 2 1⁄4 x 2 1⁄4”

No Bones About It- Boy card

Posted on November 20, 2015November 20, 2015 by Josee
November's HOSTESS CODE is: HHYBZP2P
Use it to qualify for Jo-Jo Points; click to find out more

Hello! Happy Friday!

I thought I would show you a non-Christmas card today. I mean, as much as us crafters have to start early on the Christmas card making, there are still birthdays and other occasions during this time. Right? wink

Honestly, I had a little giggle with this card….anyone else FEEL like these dinosaurs somedays? I guess they say you're only as old as you feel- so I try not to think like that too often. No need to speed up the aging process!laugh Having said that though, this stamp set, although geared more towards 'boys' would make some great 'over-the-hill' cards don't you think?

No Bones About It, Stampin Up, boy card, masculine, birthday card, all occasion card, hand stamped, quick and easy card

The cutest little board books ever!

Posted on April 21, 2010April 20, 2010 by Josee

The samples for today are using one of our On Board Books that will no longer be available starting in May. I absolutely LOVE these little board book…and I can't believe it took me until near the end of the Occasions Mini to figure that out. I made this book for a class we offered at our weekend retreat last month AND I also bought the books to make with 21 girls in our kids club at Church. They are super for kids and for adults!

AND when you partner these On Board Books with our Simply Scrappin' Kits, you'll find it so easy to create your project!

If you LOVE these too, make sure you order yours this month as they are not in the Summer Mini!

SPOILER ALERT: I have a Big Sale coming on Friday to celebrate my anniversary month!!
