It’s almost time to Sale-A-Brate!!!!

Posted on January 23, 2008March 11, 2008 by Josee

Can you feel the excitement in the air???? Our biggest sale of the year is just around the corner. Ever year Stampin’ Up! has a Sale-A-Bration (SAB) sale where you can get FREEEEEEEEEE stamps!!! How fun is that?!

As a customer, for every $70 you spend- you’ll get to pick out of 5 different stamps sets or a package of awesome rub-on’s for free. You can see the SAB flyer HERE. Our hostesses also get to earn more free stamps than usual…for every $400 in workshop sales, they get a free SAB stamp set too. Can I hear…whooohooo for free stamps!

I’ve started to play with my stamps and did I forget to mention as a special touch, SU has die-cut all the SAB stamps. You’ll be stamping in minutes when you get them!

The 2 cards below are using the stamp set called Friendship Blooms, a set of 5 fun stamps.

This first card was so fun to make!  TIP ALERT: I used post it notes to mask off the portion of the white cardstock that I didn’t want inked and then used a dauber to pick up the ink off the pad and added it to the middle of the white. I stamped all my images before removing my post it notes. I then colured with marker and added glitter to the flowers…all flowers have to sparkle, don’t you think?!

This second card uses the same flower and stamped on vanilla cardstock. I coloured the flower using a aquapainter and the ink from the lid of my ink pad. I added some more glitter and one of my favourite accessories- Rhinestone Brads!

Let me know what you think!!!! Josee

Creative Scrap Page

Posted on January 22, 2008 by Josee

This scrapbook page created by Sue Teed (one of my club members) uses the Creative Licence Simply Scrappin’ Kit from the last catalogue. What I love about the Stampin’ Up! Scrappin’ Kits is how all the colours in the die-cuts coordinate with the cardstock in the package. Everything is meant to coordinate beautifully and it really does make creating scrapbook layouts so easy.

All the cardstock in the packages included are textured which adds that special touch to your page.

Isn’t Sue’s son absolutely adorable!!

Thanks for sharing! Josee

Stampin’ Up! surprises National Guard members with cruise

Posted on January 18, 2008 by Josee

KSL News) The CEO of a Utah company surprised some lucky Utah National Guard members with a special "tour of duty": a seven day cruise to Bermuda.

The Utah-based scrapbook company Stampin’ Up donated 85 cruise cabins to the guard to thank the soldiers for their service.
The unsuspecting winners received the good news today. One guardsman felt overwhelmed by the unexpected gift. "This has been kind of a dream come true. We’ve been married 22 years and I’ve been trying to get my wife on a cruise, just a three- or five-day cruise," Lt. Col. David Osborne said.

Many of the guard members selected for the cruise have served multiple tours of duty overseas.

Way to go Shelli! Just another reason why I love this wonderful company. They just care about others so much!

Have a HAPPY STAMPING DAY! Josee
