Gift Basket Tags
I’ve been asked to come up with some tag ideas for my kids school auction. Each year, they make HUGE theme gift baskets and auction them off in a fun live auction along with other amazing items such as Ottawa Senators tickets, a trip to New York, room carpeting, appliances, etc. (Last year they raised over $35, 000-isn’t that amazing?!) Oh, and of course, there’s always an awesome scrapbooking and stamping basket donated by me.
Here’s the first example I came up with.
Recipe: Basic Black CS, Basic Grey CS, White Craft Ink, Baroque Motifs stamp set
This second tag was inspired by StampGroover on SCS, she created a really cute card using this idea and it was perfect for creating this tag. BTW, our auction has a New York City Theme.
Recipe: Night of Navy CS, Basic Black CS, WW CS, Wondrous Gift stamp set (stars), 1″ circle punch, 1/16th circle handheld punch
So, which one do you like best??? Leave me a comment to let me know!
Josee

Tip: Cutting your ribbon
This tip was shared by a very smart demonstrator, Debbie Moczek about cutting ribbon!
Here’s what she said: “I took a box and cut it into different size strips starting at 2” all the way up to 12”. When I am planning for a class or stamp-a-stack it makes things so much faster. I made the strips 2” wide too so the ribbon stays on well. You can cut about 25 at a time which means 50 pieces of the length you need. FAST AND EASY—–and boy what a time saver.”
What a great tip for saving time, I love it!
Happy Stamping, Josee

Beate’s Weekend Challenge
Here is a card made with such a fun fold!! I made this card for Beate John’s weekend challenge using her Z-Fold Tutorial on her blog. As a new blogger, this is the first time I’ve done one of these challenges…how fun!
The design was also inspired by Marie Kirkwood’s card that I received in a swap.
Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Big on Christmas, Perfect Presentation, Flannel Plaid
CS: Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Dashing Designer Series Paper
Ink: Basic Brown, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Markers-Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Mellow Moss, Summer Sun, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2-Way Glue Pen, 1 1/4″ & 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, Scalloped Circle Punch, Crystal Effects
Hope you like it!
Make sure you share with me in the comments section if you try this fun tutorial too! Josee

Garden Whimsy-Rockin’ and Rollin’
This card is using the stamp set, Garden Whimsy….my absolutely FAVOURITE stamp set!!! I call this my ”feel good” set, because it really does make you feel good when you use it! Every card I make with it turns out lovely!
If you don’t have this set yet, fill out MY HOLIDAY WISHLIST and make sure to ask Santa for it!

Set: Garden Whimsy
Cardstock: Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White
Ink: Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White Craft Stamp Pad
Accessories: 2-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Eyelets
Technique ALERT:
To achieve the 2 colours on the butterfly, I used the “Rock ‘n Roll” technique.
First, you ink the stamp in the lighter colour, then ink the edges of the stamp on a darker colour rocking it around so you are only touching the edges! I love this technique, so fun and simple!
Of course, the butterfly was also calling out for glitter!
Happy Stamping! Josee
