Definitely Dahlia & Happy Notes

Good Morning!

Today I wanted to show you a striking card! I just love the pop of colours on this one and quite honestly it's a super simple one to make 🙂 

on your wedding

Here are the supplies used on this card:

 

Measurement:

Smokey Slate: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored and folded in half at 4 ¼”

Layer 2: 5 x 3 ¾” Night of Navy
Layer 3: 4 7/8” x 3 5/8” So Saffron

Layer 4: 4 ¾” x 3 ½” Shimmer White

5” Piece of Navy Blue Seam Binding

So Saffron Scraps for Flower Punches

Instructions:

  1. Using So Saffron Ink, Ink up the large Dahlia stamp while it is laying on the table.  Lay the shimmer white cardstock on top, and add a piece of paper over the top.  Smooth the ink on the paper by using your open hand to make sure the stamp touches every part of the shimmer white paper.
  2. Stamp the wedding day sentiment in Night of Navy ink.
  3. Attach layers 4, 3 and 2 together using fast fuse adhesive.  Flip all the layers over and add adhesive down the edges of the back.  Attach the ribbon to the back using fast fuse adhesive and stick the end between the layers.  Add a little fast fuse to the front to tack the ribbon down.
  4. Punch out 3 flowers and attach the to the card with glue dots
  5. Apply pearls to the middle of the flowers

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop: Congratulations!

Good Morning!

Welcome to this month's 'Congratulations!' Blog Hop! You are going to see some wonderful samples of Graduation and Wedding cards during this blog hop! 

I have to admit, when I sat down to create a card for this, I ended up doing a few samples before I settled on this one for the Blog Hop, so if you missed seeing them last week, you can see the other wedding card I made here, and the graduation ensemble I made here. 

Now, onto today's card! 

StampingJo wedding Big News, Spring Flowers

I just love the way this card turned out! I started with a Whisper White card base. Then I added a layer of Whisper White on top of that- first I cut out the center area with the Labels Collection die (which is ON SALE THIS WEEK!!) and put it aside while I embossed the remaining piece with the Spring Flowers Textured Embossing Folder.

I then stamped the sentiment from Big News in Basic Black on the die cut piece and placed it back in the cut out of the embossed piece. Before adhering everything onto the card base I tied some Whisper White Organza ribbon to the embossed layer.  Then added a strip of Pearls Basics Jewels under the sentiment.

To finish off the card, using the Circles Collection dies, I cut two circles out of a Gold Foil sheet to create the rings and adhered them to the front of the card and completed the look with a cluster of Rhinestones Basics Jewels.

Flower Patch & Big News Wedding Card

Good Morning!

It's almost wedding season, do you have any weddings to attend this year? I've got a fun and simple wedding card to share today! This card uses some stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue which is available for ordering from until June 2nd!! 

StampingJo Big News Flower Patch wedding card

I started with a Strawberry Slush card based and stamped the flowers from Flower Patch in Whisper White. Then I stamped the sentiment from Big News on Whisper White and cut that out with the Banners Framelits die making sure to center the sentiment.  I then took the Heart Confetti Punch and punched out both sides of the banner die cut. Then I tied some Gold Bakers Twine to the banner die cute and adhered that onto the Strawberry Slush base.

Then, to add a little bling I used the Heart Confetti Punch to punch a few hearts out of Gold Foil sheet and filled in some of the punched out border on the Whisper White and adhered a few to the flower centers. On top of those ones, I added some heart shaped Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy stickers to add some dimension. I really like how simple this card is and how pretty it turned out!

The Wonderful Wedding ShowOn Saturday and Sunday of this week, I'll be a vendor at the Wonderful Wedding Show in Winnipeg. I can't wait to spend the day with excited brides-to-be and share with them how easy it is to make their own invitations.

I've spent the last couple of weeks, stamping sample invites and getting my tables for the booth planned out….I'm nearly done!
