Cheers to the Year stamp set, wedding card, Champagne Foil, Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper

Cheers to the Year Wedding Card

Posted on September 26, 2017October 13, 2017 by Josee

If you visit here often, you may know I love a good, versatile stamp set. A stamp set that can be used for several occasions is a great bang for your buck! The new Cheers to the Year stamp set from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue is one of those stamp sets.  Here I used the stamp set and some of the products from the Year of Cheer Suite to create this gorgeous stamped wedding card!

Cheers to the Year stamp set, wedding card, Champagne Foil, Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper

How To Make This Hand Made Wedding Card:

This card starts with a base of Thick Whisper White cardstock. Then a piece of Champagne Foil sheet was cut to fit on top.

The Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper was cut to mat on top of the Champagne Foil Sheet, but first it was run through the Big Shot in the Sweetheart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder– making sure to keep the heart centered. This embossed layer was adhered to the Champagne layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added to the cardfront.

Then, the Sweet & Sassy Framelits were used to cut a piece of Champagne Foil sheet to the create the large heart and a piece of Whisper White cardstock to fit on top with a smaller heart die.

The Mr & Mrs from the Cheers to the Year stamp set was then stamped in Basic Black ink in the Whisper White heart. Cheers to the Year stamp set, wedding card, Champagne Foil, Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper

On a strip of Vellum Cardstock, the supporting greeting was stamped with Basic Black ink and heat set with the Heat Tool so it wouldn’t smudge.  Then, the ends were cut with the Triple Banner Punch.

The hearts were adhered to the debossed heart on the cardfront with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The vellum was laid over top with some Mini Glue Dots that were then hidden under some Pearls Basics Jewels.

Valentine Treat Bag using Sweet and Sassy Framelits and Sealed With Love stamp set

Posted on February 10, 2017February 17, 2017 by Josee

Happy Friday!! If you are still trying to figure out what to give for Valentine's Day (which is next week by the way!) Today's project is a quick and easy Valentine gift idea featuring Stampin' Up's Sealed With Love stamp set and Sweet and Sassy Framelits to create this cute Valentine treat bag!

Sweet & Sassy Framelits, Sealed With Love, Valentine treat bag, treat bag topper, Stampin Up, hearts, candy, quick and easy, Valentine gift idea

How To Make This Stamped Valentine treat bag:

This really is a super easy Valentine gift idea! Take a cellophane bag and fill with some Valentine colored treats- I found these Smarties at my local bulk food store.  Fold the bag top and use the Handheld Stapler to keep the bag top closed.

Now, because I made a few of these, I used a whole sheet of cardstock that I scored and folded in half lengthwise. If you are only making one, just size it accordingly but you will want to score and fold the cardstock to create a 'card' that you will cut in a heart shape with the Sweet and Sassy Framelits dies and the Big Shot. I actually used the largest and second largest heart dies on mine, but you can use whatever size you need to fit the bag you are using. Just make sure the stamps you want to use will fit the heart. If you don't like to waste cardstock, just use your die to roughly measure where you need to fold the cardstock.

The folded cardstock was then run through the Big Shot, making sure to not cut through the whole folded line. This would be a great place to use the Magnetic Platform so that the die does not shift when you place the cutting plate on top. You want to end up with a heart cutout that folds open to create a topper for the Valentine treat bag.

Stamp the die cut heart with the Happy Valentine's Day stamp from the Sealed With Love stamp set.

The heart flourish from the Sealed With Love stamp set was bent in the curved shape before placing on the acrylic block and then stamped around the curve of the heart tops.

Place the cellophane bag inside the heart bag topper and use the Handheld Stapler to secure it onto the bag.

That's it! So simple. Of course, if I wanted to spend more time on these, I could add ribbon, Rhinestones, maybe even create a layered heart die cut! If you don't like to see the exposed staples, you could use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere both sides of the bag topper to the cellophane bag.

Valentine Treat Box- Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits

Posted on February 3, 2017February 17, 2017 by Josee

Happy Friday! With Valentine's Day less than two weeks away I wanted to show you a quick and easy Valentine Treat Box that you can put together in a jiffy!  Today's Valentine Treat Box features Stampin' Up's Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Dies, the Sweet and Sassy Heart Framelits and the Love Sparkles stamp set to create this quick and cute Valentine gift!

Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Dies, Stampin Up, Valentine Treat Box, Quick and Easy Gift

How To Make This Valentine Treat Box:

Start by taking a large sheet of Melon Mambo cardstock (about 6"x8) and lining it up on the cutting mat for the Big Shot.  Place the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlit die on top of the sheet of cardstock, then add a small heart die from the Sweet and Sassy Framelits to the middle of one of the box sides. Die cut the sheet, then remove the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinilit and run the die cut through again to cut a second heart shape from the other box side.

You will repeat step one again to get TWO Curvy Keepsake Box die cuts– you need 2 of them to make the box. Once you have both peices, fold at the score lines and place some Tear and Tape Adhesive across the top of the bottom square piece of the box and add the second square to adhere on top. Your box bottom will be made of two of the square shapes from the die cut and you will be left with all four sides to fold up.

Before folding up your box, add some treats (I added red and pink Smarties) to a Cellophane Bag and tape or tie the bag. My bag was tall, so I cut some of the top of the bag off and then taped down the side to keep the goodies secure.

Add the bag to the bottom square of the box and start bringing up the sides to close it. You will bring together the two loops and then feed the slotted sides over top of the looped sides. This keeps the box closed.

I cut a small tag by die cutting a slightly larger heart from the Sweet and Sassy Framelits from Pink Pirouette cardstock.

Then, I stamped the word Love from the Love Sparkles stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink and added some hearts using the heart stamp from the same stamp set in White Craft ink.

I punched a hole in the heart shaped tag and ran some Black Baker's Twine through it, tying it onto the loops on the Curvy Keepsake Box and tying a bow.

And now my Valentine treat box is ready for a special little Valentine! 😉

Sealed With Love Stamped Valentine Card

Posted on January 26, 2017January 23, 2017 by Josee

Hello! I am back with another stamped Valentine card to show you, this time using Stampin' Up's Sealed With Love stamp set. This stamp set and coordinating Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack make it super easy to create not only stamped Valentine cards, but also anniversary and love cards (for you know, just because).

Sealed With Love stamp set, Stampin Up, 2017 Occasions Catalogue, stamped Valentine card

How To Make This Stamped Valentine Card:

This card starts with Whisper White Thick cardstock for the card base. Nice and sturdy!

Then I cut some strips of Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack, one to fit the page and one slightly smaller. The awesome thing about the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack is that the designs are on both sides of the paper so you can choose which side to use!

The larger piece of Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack was adhered to the card front and before adhering the second strip, I tied a piece of Basic Black Baker's Twine around it, then stuck it on.

Take the Basic Black ink and stamp the sentiment from the Sealed With Love stamp set on Whisper White cardstock.

Then, with Real Red ink stamp the little flourish designs from Sealed With Love onto the corners as shown.

With the Stitched Shape Framelits I cut the Basic Black cardstock with the larger square die and then the stamped Whisper White layer with the next size down. I love the dimension these stitched framelits give to the die cuts!

Adhere the die cut layers together and then adhere the ensemble to the cardfront.

As a final touch, add the Metal Rimmed Pearl to the tied area of the Black Baker's Twine.

Tie the black and white Baker’s Twine around the Blushing Bride cardstock and adhere to the cardbase.

To create the sentiment piece:

1. With Blushing Bride ink stamp the solid lettered 'Love' sentiment from the Double Take stamp set on Whisper White cardstock.

2. With Real Red ink, layer the banner 'Love' stamp on top of the Blushing Bride stamped sentiment.

3. With Basic Black Archival ink, stamp the fine detailed 'Love' stamp on top of the Love sentiment (as shown in the photo)

4. Then, cut out the sentiment with Paper Snips following the lines of the banner stamp image.
