Confetti Celebration Gift Bag

Good Morning!

Have you got plans for this weekend? Maybe some stampin' time? I've got a fun project to show you today that would be great to have a few ready made on hand for those last minute gift giving occasions 🙂 This one uses the Confetti Celebration stamp set for a fun birthday package!

How To Make It:

Score Cucumber Crush 12×12 Cardstock at 2”, 5-1/2”, 7-1/2”, and 11” along one side and 2” along the other side. Cut score marks up to the 2” mark and remove small rectangle in corner (as shown below).

Fold along all score lines and form into a box by applying Tear & Tape to long flap and bottom flaps.

Wrap box with strip of Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper, creasing each edge as you go. Adhere to the bag with Tear & Tape.

Squeeze top of 'box' together into a bag shape and punch 2 holes at top through all layers using the 1/8" circle punch (or even 1/4" circle punch). Thread all 3 lengths of Thick Baker’s Twine through holes and tie in a bow.

Stamp “YAY!” from the Confetti Celebration stamp set on Whisper White cardstock two times for each color and die cut with star shape. Stamp “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” and “It’s YOUR day!” two times each with Cucumber Crush ink and punch with Classic Label punch.

Working in pairs, adhere each colored star and each colored sentiment together at bottom edge of twine, holding together with Stampin’ Dimensionals, trimming twine as needed to get the desired length to get the fun tag tassel look.

A Beautiful Ride Salt Technique

Hello!

I've got a lovely card to show you today, using a fun technique and A Beautiful Ride– from the 2016 Occasions catalogue!

This is such an easy tecnique, but it really makes a WOW background!

How to Make It:

Using stamp pads, apply Bermuda Bay & Pool Party inks onto a Clear Block E (1 color on each half of the block)
Spritz block with water then stamp onto watercolor paper and hold for 5 seconds
Remove block and sprinkle salt onto the watercolor paper
Dry the paper with a heat tool and brush off the salt
Stamp the Car image with Black ink onto watercolor paper (Tip: use an unused pierce mat underneath to help get a good stamped image)
Stamp hearts onto car and paint hearts with Wink of Stella, adhere to black layer
Stamp greeting in center of watercolor strip, add black piece to the end and tie the ribbon around it.
Banner cut the end of the greeting strip and adhere to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals
Add a few Sequins to the card using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen
Adhere to Pool Party cardbase

Watercolor 4 5/8 x 3 5/8 plus 1/2 x 3 3/4

Dazzling Diamond Vintage Leaves

Hello!

Today's card uses the Vintage Leaves stamp set from the Stampin' Up Annual Catalogue and Lighthearted Leaves from the Holiday Catalogue!

Dazzling Diamonds Vintage Leaves

Start with a Cajun Craze cardstock base. Then stamp the leaves randomly on Very Vanilla using various ink colors: Cajun Craze, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler. Love this fall inspired color palette.

Once dry, ink over the colored leaves with the Versamark stamp pad, covering the entire piece of card stock. Cover the Versamark with Heat & Stick powder and then heat it up with the Heat Tool until shiny & tacky. Then add Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on top of the tacky surface. Heat lightly until dry and the entire surface is sparkly.

Stamp the sentiment from Lighthearted Leaves on Very Vanilla and punch with Decorative Label Punch. Assemble the card, adding the label with Tear & Tape Adhesive onto the glittered layer.

Measurements:

Card Base: Bermuda Bay 4-1/4 x 11, score at 5-1/2 – Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack 4 x 5-1/4.

Art Piece: Watercolor paper 3-1/2 x 4-3/4, Basic Black Mat 3-5/8 x 4-7/8

Instructions:

Stamp the image and the sentiment in StazOn Black ink on the watercolor paper.
Squeeze your aqua painter until a drop of water comes out then use the brush tip to wet the flower.
While the flower is wet, add the Bermuda Bay ink from the inkpad lid with your aqua painter.

TIP – I like to do one layer, with a little white showing, then a second layer in the shadow areas.

Once the flower is dry, wet the leaves in the same manner and add the Cucumber Crush ink using the same technique.
Let the art piece dry – or dry it with your heat tool.

TIP – if you dry it with the heat tool, it will curl, turn it over and heat the backside, it will flatten out again for you.

Use the Fast Fuse Adhesive to attach the designer paper to the card front.
Use the Fast Fuse Adhesive to attach the art piece to the mat and then to the card front to complete the card.
