Adorable baby scrapbook page AND join me on facebook!

Posted on April 8, 2009April 8, 2009 by Josee

What a busy beginning of the week. I’m glad not all my week’s are this busy!  lol

Yesterday, I had a card-making class and had a great time stamping with 6 fun ladies! Tonight, I have my quarterly "Diva Night" with demonstrator’s. This is an incentive event where we share business ideas AND the best part…we get wonderful pedicures from Carolyn at Mobile Beauty! (It’s wonderful to get your toes done without even having to leave the house!)

AND tomorrow night (April 9) is a Beginner Scrapbook Class at 7pm. It’s free and I still have spaces if you’re available! Just email me or call 613-836-4973 if you want to attend a scrapbooking class in Ottawa (Kanata area)! Here’s a sneak peek of one of the 6×6 pages we’ll be making!

Are you on facebook? You can now follow "Stamping Jo" through my new facebook page! Just click here  and "Become a Fan!"

Scallop Circle Punch Card by Terri

Posted on November 9, 2008December 3, 2008 by Josee

Terri Monette has been a part of my stampers club for over a year now and regularly brings in projects she makes to share with me. She has a really great eye for colour and style and I love this card she’s recently shared with me!

Terri used the stamp set LOVELY AS A TREE…though it’s been around a while, it is still a very popular set!

Notice how she used the scallop circle punch to create a different style of card?! She trimmed the card so that it’s still fits in an envelope with the scallop circle higher than the top of the card. Not sure if that makes sense in writting but I’m sure you get the idea from the pictures! (Edited to add: Terri wanted to mention that she first saw the idea on Dawn’s Blog so you can go check out her inspiration…click here!)

Stampin’ Up! Scrapbook Saturday: Fall Time

Posted on November 8, 2008November 6, 2008 by Josee

As you may have already noticed, I’ve been trying to post scrapbooking pages on Saturday’s. My goal is to share with you how easy is to use Stampin’ Up! products in your scrapbook layouts! One of my absolute favourite new products to use for my layouts is THE BIG SHOT!!! You’ll find on this page that I was able to use the TOP NOTE BIGZ DIE to create my title and the LEAVES # 2 DIE to make my leaves. I’ll give you some tips at the end on how to created these "life like" leaves.

Creating these leaves is sooooooooo easy, even my 8 year old made some!!!

Here’s what you do!

Step1: Use the BIG SHOT to cut out your leaves.
Step 2: Use a spray bottle to lightly spray the front and back of your leaf with water.
Step 3: Scrunch up your leaf in your hand to create creases and then lightly put it back to shape and let dry.
Step 4: Use your ink pad in a coordinating colour to swip colour over your leaf!
That’s it!!! Easy, huh?!

By the way, if you’re looking to put the Big Shot on your Santa List, make sure "Santa" calls me early as it is a VERY POPULAR ITEM THIS YEAR and it is taking longer than the regular time to receive them!
