Stampers Dozen Blog Hop: Christmas/Holidays

Good Morning!

Welcome to this month's 'Christmas/Holiday' Blog Hop! For this month's project, I thought it would be fun to create a Christmas gift idea. I ended up making this Coaster Board frame!

The Frame: I used Stampin' Up's Vanilla Coaster Board which fits perfectly in the Big Shot. First, I took a square of Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum and glued it to the coaster board completely, using the Two Way Glue pen that happened to be handy. The Multi Adhesive or Glue Stick would also work well. Smooth out any bubbles and allow it to dry.

Then, I used the Square Collections Framelits to create the frame- I used the larger scalloped square and one of the smaller squares to create the frame front from the vellum glued piece. The next largest square was used to create the backing from plain coaster board and then Tear & Tape Adhesive was used on only 3 sides to allow sliding in the stamped image. The frame stand was created from the middle cut out- I scored it about an inch down, folded it and used Tear & Tape Adhesive to glue it to the back allowing the frame to stand up.

Before adding the flower, the Real Red Striped Ribbon was tied around the frame and into a bow.

The Flower: The flower was punched from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper using the Festive Flower Builder punch. I punched several pieces to create it using glue dots and a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere it together. To keep the flower smaller for the scale of the frame, I did not use the larger petals to create the flower. The flower centers were punched from a Gold Foil sheet and a rhinestone was added to the center. Glued on to the frame with a few Glue Dots.

The Message: The sentiment from Wondrous Wreath was stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White cardstock. I took my Paper Snips and cut each sentence into strips trimming them down as much as I could so that they could be matted with the Word Window punch. The longer strips were matted with two punchouts glued together to create a bigger one. They were then glued on with Glue Dots.

Inside the Frame: The cardinal from Joyful Season was stamped on a square of Whisper White- using Real Red and Basic Black for the bird and Chocolate Chip, Basic Black and Real Red for the branches and berries. It was then slid into the frame opening. As a final touch, I added a little Dazzling Details to each berry for a little sparkle!

The gift recipient can then replace the image if they wish with their own photo.

Butterfly Basics & Watercolor Wash Thank You Card

Hello!

So, today I thought I would show you this pretty thank you card! Of course, just changing the sentiment on this card you can create a gorgeous birthday or a congratulations card! You will love how easy it is to create this beautiful card! wonderful wings, thank you card, hand stamped card, butterfly, big shot

This card starts with a base of Perfect Plum and then a layer of Whisper White. The Watercolor Wash was then stamped with Smoky Slate and then the sentiment and butterfly were stamped in Perfect Plum.

The butterfly was stamped again on Whisper White and cut with the matching Butterfly Thinlit, and then the larger butterfly thinlit was used to cut the Perfect Plum cardstock. Both butterflies were adhered to the card front, with a Stampin' Dimensional between the two.

As a final touch, a Metal Rimmed Pearl was added. I just love the way this card turned out- so pretty!

Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlit

Good morning!!

Today I've got a quick and easy project to show you!

One of the things I really love the most about Stampin' Up products is how easy it is to make a project look like you spent a lot of time on it-even when you didn't! If you have any non-crafty friends in your life, you may sometimes hear comments like 'where do you find the time?' or 'you're so creative' or 'I wish I could make stuff like this'….of course the secret is that stamping with Stampin' Up products is a hobby that can take as little or as much time as you want to put into it. Today's project is a great example of what I mean. With tools like a Big Shot and the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits, paper crafting has never been so easy!!

Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits, Fluttering EF

I think this Gift Card Envelope would be perfect for a wedding, birthday or even baby gift!

To make this project, I used the Thick Whisper White cardstock and cut it with the Gift Card Envelope Thinlit. Then I embossed it with the NEW Fluttering Textured Embossing Folder (before embossing it, I folded in the creased lines so they would be easy to find after embossing). So pretty!! Then the gift card envelope was folded and I added a bit of adhesive to keep the bottom of the envelope closed.

Next, on some regular Whisper White cardstock I stamped the words from the B.Y.O.P stamp set in Watermelon Wonder and Tuxedo Black ink and then cut them out with the coordinating die in the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlits set. I also cut the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper using the pennant die in the set.

I punched a small hole in the ends of the die cuts and attached them to the envelope with a Mini Brad.

Insert a gift card and wrap the Watermelon Wonder Dotted Laced Trim around the closed envelope. So easy!!!

Retiring In-Colors!

Good Morning!

Before I show you today's card, I have to tell you, we have been super busy cleaning out my craft room! I am making room for the new products! So, if you are in the Ottawa area, RSVP for my NEW Catalogue Class & BOGO sale on June 5th, or just the BOGO sale on June 6th!

Now, I think you are going to love today's card! It features stamp sets that will no longer be available after June 2nd and the In-Colors that will also no longer be available after June 2nd!

2013-2015 retiring in-colours

Supplies:

Measurements:

Pistachio Pudding base card: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Whisper White: 4" x 5 1/4" and a scrap for the circle

Stamp the circle in Pistachio Pudding. Choose your letter and stamp in the center using Strawberry Slush. Add small flowers from Painted Petals around the edge of the circle. Cut out monogram circle using the fifth smallest circle framelit. Sponge lightly using Pistachio Pudding.

Then, randomly stamp flowers from Painted Petals in Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe on to Whisper White panel. Add small leaves with Pistachio Pudding. Adhere to base card and add monogram circle with Dimensionals.

I don't know about you, but I am going to miss these colors!!! But I think you may just like the NEW In-Colors too!

Here is the first of the cards I will show you this week. This card uses Guy Greetings. I love the way the tool stamp is used to create a subtle background too.

Here are the supplies that were used on this card:

First, stamp the tools all over the Pacific Point card Base in Pacific Point ink and then run the front of the card base through the Big Shot (or Texture Boutique) with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder. Then, stamp the vintage car onto the Naturals Ivory cardstock in Soft Suede and use the Blender pens to soften the ink and colour in the car. Stamp the Happy Birthday in Pacific Point underneath the car as shown. Adhere the Naturals Ivory layer to the Soft Suede Layer and then onto the card front.
