Bear Hugs Happy Birthday Card

Posted on August 12, 2016July 27, 2016 by Josee

Good Morning!

I hope you have something wonderful planned for your weekend! Will you get time to stamp this weekend? How about a fun birthday card to start off your weekend? This card may look like a lot of cutting is needed, but the Big Shot and Framelits make it an easy task! Isn't it cute?

bear hugs, Stampin' Up

How To Make It:

Stamp the balloon from Celebrate Today twice, using Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum, stamping the solid images first by stamping off, then the dots with full ink. Stamp the bows from Celebrate Today on Whisper White using Dapper Denim ink.

Cut out the balloon and bow images with the Balloon Framelits in the Big Shot die cut machine. Use the Magnetic Platform to keep the dies and your stamped images lined up perfectly.

Stamp the bear image from the Bear Hugs stamp set on Crumb Cake card stock and cut out with Bear Hugs Framelits in the Big Shot.

Stamp Happy Birthday from the Confetti Celebration stamp set on a small rectangle of Whisper White cardstock, then color with the Blender Pens and Peak-a-boo Peach ink pad (squeeze the ink pad when closed to pool the ink in the lid for coloring). Adhere to the bear to make it look like he is holding the sentiment.

Stamp the washi tape image from the Build a Birthday stamp set in Dapper Denim ink at the bottom of the card base.

Add the bear and balloon die cuts with Stampin' Dimensionals to finish off the card.

Posted on August 9, 2016July 28, 2016 by Josee

Hello!

I am just loving the summery colors on today's card! Actually the whole card just feels like summer to me with the flowers and die cut butterflies! 🙂

irresistably floral butterfly, Stampin Up

How To Make It:

Start with a Flirty Flamingo card base: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored and folded at 4-1/4” .

Sponge Flirty Flamingo ink onto the Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper (5-1/2” x 2”). Use a tissue to wipe off any excess ink residue.

Adhere the sponged layer onto the Whisper White layer (5-1/2” x 2-1/2”), then the Peekaboo Peach layer (5-1/2” x 2-3/4”), then onto the card base.

Wrap Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon around the card front, tie into a double-knot, trim.

Stamp the sentiment from Blooms & Wishes in Flirty Flamingo ink at the bottom.

Die-cut a large, solid butterfly from the Bold Butterfly Thinlits out of Vellum cardstock. Attach with Glue Dots to the card front putting the Glue Dots only in the center of the diecut.

Die-cut a large, intricate butterfly from the Butterfly Thinlits out of Peekaboo Peach cardstock and attach that with Glue Dots to the vellum butterfly die cut, again only putting Glue Dots in the center of the butterfly die cut.

As a final touch, add Pearl Basics Jewels to the butterfly body.

Jar of Love Gift Package

Posted on August 3, 2016July 28, 2016 by Josee

Hello!

Before I show you today's project, in case you missed it, I wanted to let you know that Stampin' Up not only released the new Thoughtful Branches bundle yesterday, but also a great new stamp set called I Stamped This, now available to order!

I Stamped This, Stampin UpI Stamped This, Stampin Up

Now, onto the fun project I have to show you today! This super cute packaging uses the Jar of Love stamp set and the Everyday Jars Framelits to create a window to show a peek of the package contents!

Jar of Love, Stampin Up

How To Make It:

Start with the Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut to 4” x 11” and scored at 1-1/2”, 5-1/2” and 7-1/4”

With Basic Gray ink, stamp the large jar from Jar of Love onto the left side of the Whisper White card stock (3-1/2” x 3”).

Stamp the word LOVE from Jar of Love in Cherry Cobbler ink to the right side of the jar image and add other words in Basic Gray ink.

Stamp the fish from Jar of Love inside the jar image in Peekaboo Peach (vertically- see hint below).

Lay the scored Cherry Cobbler Cardstock with largest area at the top. Adhere the Whisper White stamped layer (framed closest to the score line~ leaving more room at the top) using Fast Fuse.

Use the “inside jar” framelit from Everyday Jars Framelits to cut through both layers, leaving a window in your jar. HINT: You should be able to cut out the goldfish at the same time if you stamped him vertically!

Fill the 3×6 Cellophane Gusseted bag halfway with fish crackers. Fold top down and use the Handheld Stapler to staple each side.

Insert bag into cardstock pouch, folding 1-1/2” scored edge over the top. Staple the 8" piece of Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon to the top edge of the pouch (through all four layers: ribbon, cardstock, cello bag and cardstock= creating a “matchbook” pouch)

Tuck the front of pouch (with the jar) under the top (stapled) edge to close.

Tie the bow. Add the fish cutout to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamps:

Jar of Love (141587)

Paper:

Cherry Cobbler (119685); Whisper White (100730)

Ink:

Cherry Cobbler (126966); Peekaboo Peach (141398); Basic Gray (140932)

Other:

Jar of Love Thank You Card

Posted on July 22, 2016July 18, 2016 by Josee

Good Morning!

Today's card features probably one of the most creative and versatile stamp sets in this new catalogue- Jar of Love! I have seen so many creative uses for this stamp set, it just amazes me! (In fact, come back on Monday for My Crafty Friends Monday featuring the Jar of Love stamp set!) The stamp set alone includes a wide array of stamps to use (like the fish, flowers, bugs and many sentiments!), but the best part of this stamp set and the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits Dies is that with some creativity you could use it with any other stamp set!

Jar of Love, Stampin Up

How To Make It:

Emboss the Flirty Flamingo panel using the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhere the 5 ¼” piece of the 5/8” Watermelon Wonder Mini Striped Ribbon to the panel as shown by applying adhesive to the back of the panel. Wrap ends and secure on back side.

Adhere the Flirty Flamingo panel to the Soft Suede card base.

Next, stamp both the large jar image and the handle image on a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Soft Suede ink.

Using the same ink, stamp the “Thanks” sentiment from Jar of Love a little above center inside the jar image.

Stamp the small hearts randomly inside the bottom of the jar using Flirty Flamingo ink.

Cut both the jar and handle images out using the coordinating Everyday Jar Framelits and the Big Shot and set aside.

Take the Linen Thread and wind it around three of your fingers to create the coil that will go behind the jar.

Add adhesive to the back of the jar image and adhere the Linen Thread as shown. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the jar and adhere it to the front of the card as shown. Adhere the jar handle to the jar image as shown.

Next, tie a small bow using the 5/8” Mini Striped Ribbon – Watermelon Wonder and adhere the bow with Mini Glue Dots to the jar’s handle.

Add a little “sparkle” to the hearts in the jar with the Clear Wink of Stella.

Adhere the Whisper White 4” x 5 ¼” panel to the inside of the card and stamp a few small hearts using Flirty Flamingo ink.

Stamps:

Jar of Love (141587)

Paper:

Soft Suede (115318), Flirty Flamingo (141416), Whisper White  (100730)

Ink:

Soft Suede (126978), Flirty Flamingo (141397)

Other:

Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127821), Everyday Jars Framelits (141490), 5/8” Mini Striped Ribbon-Watermelon Wonder (141433), Linen Thread (104199), Wink of Stella – Clear (141897), Stampin Dimensionals (104430), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Big Shot (143263)

I hope you enjoyed today's project! Have a wonderful weekend!

Sweet Cupcake Wish card

Posted on June 29, 2016June 27, 2016 by Josee

Good Morning!

Today's card is a 'step up' from this Sweet Cupcake card I showed you last week. I wanted to create the card starting with the same basic techniques, but adding a few more steps to it creates a card with more WOW factor!  This card uses the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits to add that needed 'punch'!

Sweet Cupcake Cut Out by StampingJo

How To Make It:

As I mentioned, this card starts with the basics of this card I posted last week.

To 'step it up' I  stamped the Whisper White square with the little 'sprinkles' stamp from Sweet Cupcake. I stamped and glittered the cupcake the same way and then die cut the cupcake pieces using the cupcake dies in the Cupcake Cutout Framelits and adhered them to the square layers using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added some Silver Ribbon before adhering all the layers together.

Sweet Cupcake Cutout Glitter by StampingJo

Then, the 'wish' was die cut from Silver Glimmer Paper, using the Precision Base Plate and Die Brush to help cut a perfect cut! That was adhered with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and a Rhinstone Basics Jewel was added to the 'i' to bling it up!

Stamps:

Sweet Cupcake-141498 (bundle: 142232)

Paper:

Whisper White-100730 , Whisper White Thick-140272, Flirty Flamigo- 141416, Sweet Sugarplum-141418, Silver Glimmer Paper-135314

Ink:

Sweet Sugarplum- 141395, Basic Black-132708, Versamark- 102283, Refill- 102193

Other:

Rhinestone Basic Jewels- 119246, Silver 1/8” Ribbon- 132137, Cupcake Cutouts Framelits- 141474, Stampin Dimensionals-104430, Heat & Stick Powder-100625, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter-133751, Layering Squares Framelits- 141708, Heat Tool- 129053, Fine Tip Glue Pen- 138309, Precision Base Plate- 139684, Die Brush- 140603

What do you think? Does this add more WOW than the previous version?
