I love the way Karen created a colorful strip of Easter images in the background and used the bunny die cut to make it look like he is popping out of the strip. The Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper die cut with the Hello You Thinlit really stands out.

Pretty Pines Hostess or Teacher Gift

Posted on November 24, 2016November 23, 2016 by Josee

Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S friends! Enjoy your day!

onlineex_shareable-4_nov2116_na

I think today's project would be the perfect hostess gift or even a teacher gift for Christmas giving. It uses the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies as the focal point of the project and a candle of your choice. I had this one lying around, and the wax color determined the color scheme for this project.

Pretty Pines Thinlits, Stampin Up, hostess gift, teacher gift decorated candly by StampingJo.com

How To Make It:

The first thing I did was to measure the candle jar's height and circumference around the jar. Then I cut the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to fit. The glimmer paper is a 12"x12" sheet so in this case, it was a tad short to cover the whole width around so I left the space there and covered it with the rest of the design. Sometimes you just have to work with what you have. wink The Glimmer Paper was adhered to the jar using Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Then I cut the Watermelon Wonder cardstock using the largest Lots of Labels Framelits dies and then ran it through the Big Shot again in the Pine Bough Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I used a few pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to add the label to the glimmer paper.

Then I wrapped the Watermelon Wonder Striped Ribbon around the jar and the die cut label and tied it with an extra strand of ribbon in the knot.

Then, the pine boughs from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies were die cut from Always Artichoke cardstock and the pine cones were die cut from a Gold Foil Sheet and Soft Suede cardstock for the solid pieces.

The pine boughs were adhered to the label using Mini Glue Dots and then the pine cones were assembled with Mini Glue Dots then added to the pine boughs using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I left it for now, but you could add a stamped sentiment on a tag hanging from the ribbon or hanging from the top of the jar.

Stamps:

None- although you could add a sentiment of your choice on a tag

Halloween card using Jar of Haunts, Stampin Up

Jar of Haunts Quick and Easy Halloween Card

Posted on September 29, 2016September 27, 2016 by Josee

Good Morning!

Guess what?! Stampin' Up has some sweet deals coming October 1st! Check them out here!

Today's card is inspired by the Designer Series Paper sale! It's a great way to make use of the patterned papers you will want to stock up on! wink What I love about this card is that right now it's a Halloween card using the Halloween Night Designer Series Papers and the Jar of Haunts stamp set, but with a switch of the Designer Series Papers to say the Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack or the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Papers and using the Jar of Cheer stamp set instead, you would get a Christmas card! So easy to switch things up when you use these patterned papers!

Halloween card using Jar of Haunts, Stampin Up

How To Make It:

This card starts with a cardbase of Whisper White cardstock. Then add a layer of Halloween Night Designer Series Paper cut to 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” using SNAIL Adhesive.

Use the Project Life Corner Punch to round out the top right corner of both of the card layers.

Stamp the images from the Jar of Haunts stamp set onto Whisper White card stock– stamp the jar in Smokey Slate and the words and candy corn in Basic Black. Color in the candy corn images using the Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight ink pads and a Blender Pen. Then cut out using the Everyday Jar Framelits and the Big Shot.

Cut a contrasting piece of Halloween Night Designer Series Paper using the Layering Circles Framelits. Then, adhere the circle cutout to the front of the card base using Stampin Dimensionals and add the jar cut out using Stampin' Dimensionals as well.

As a final touch, tie a bow with the Smoky Slate Ribbon and attach to the card front using a Glue Dot.

Stamps:

Jar of Haunts #142247

Paper:

Whisper White #100730, Halloween Night Designer Series Paper #142022

Ink:

Pumpkin Pie #1426945, Daffodil Delight #126944, Smokey Slate #131179, Basic Black #140931

Other:
