Month: May 2009

Two new May events!

Posted on May 12, 2009May 11, 2009 by Josee

I have barely recovered from my weekend. I ran in the Where’s Franktown run and I am NOT a runner what so ever. My daughter out ran me the whole time, how sad for me. We  ran 5km and about half way through my knee started to hurt…of course I kept going and a few hours after the run I barely could walk. It took about 2 days before I was able to walk properly again. I think before next year’s run I should actually train, don’t you?

I’m getting organized again this week with my business…and I’ve added these two great events to my calendar:

1) Demonstrator Information Night a la Chocolate
DATE: Monday May 25th 7pm
RSVP now
COST: Free
WHERE: Josee’s stamping Studio, Kanata
DETAILS: Attend this no-pressure evening where I’ll treat you to some real chocolate and all the information you need to decide whether Stampin’ Up! is right for you! This month you can start your own business for only $99 and this is a "job" you can’t be let go from! Be your own boss and make up your own hours while having a fun and profitable business.

There are many reasons why becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator  may be right for you, chocolate just might be one of them!

C is for the cash we earn

H is for the hours we choose to work

O is for the opportunities available

C is for the all-expense paid cruise we can earn each year

O is for the oodles of fun we have

L is for the love of stamping we share

A is for the awards we can earn all the time!

T is for the tax advantages for our families

E is for the self esteem we build

If you’d like to taste some of this low-calorie, low-carb CHOCOLATE, make sure you attend my Information evening or contact me  for more information!

Remember, you can join this month for only $99! Don’t wait!

2) Express Card Class
DATE: Tuesday May 26th  7pm

Black and White Wedding Invitation

Posted on May 5, 2009May 4, 2009 by Josee

Happy Tuesday ladies! Yesterday, a group of us made 80 wedding invites in 2 hours! It went so well and quick, we really thought we would be there for hours! I actually forgot to take a photo of the invite we made, but, here’s my first draft of it. I still really like this one…the new one we made used  Elegant Eggplant cardstock, ribbon and font colour instead of black! We also changed the font to more of a script!

We kept it pretty simple, as they are planning a wedding in less than 3 months! I think it’s quite cute…it doesn’t look as cute in picture as it does in real life!

Flower Pot Card

Posted on May 4, 2009May 4, 2009 by Josee

I had such a lovely weekend in Lake Placid…I honestly thought that I’d come home rested-BUT, I’m absolutely exhausted. It takes alot out of you to have fun. lol. I was there on a "ladies retreat" with my Church listening to Anne Beiler and her awesome story of faith. She is also an amazing business woman and started Auntie Ann’s pretzels over 20 years ago. I personally have never been to one of these stores…maybe one day they’ll come to my area…but I heard their pretzels are amazing!

I hope you had a terrific weekend too! Today, I’ll be hosting a bunch of ladies in my studio to make 80 wedding invitations! It’s going to be alot of fun! If you’re getting married and live in Ottawa, make sure you contact me  to book your wedding consultation! You’ll be amazed at how beautiful your wedding invites can be when you make them!

The sample I’m showing you is PERFECT FOR MOTHER’S DAY or some special lady! It’s a flower-pot card….isn’t it adorable?! This is one of the projects we made in my stamper’s club last month. If you want directions, click here.

 I just love this idea!

Don’t you?!
