Holiday Planner

By · Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Here’s a fun project that I shamelessly CASED from Tina Rosenkrans’ Blog…I loved the project so much I almost copied it exactly!

Planner_front

I used the Simply Scrappin’ Winter Bright kit and only used a bit of it to create this fun Holiday Planner. The planner is made using an ordinary 2 pocket folder from an office supply store…or even the dollar store!

Here’s a closer look of the inside of the planner:

You can use the pages to organize any of your holiday planning, but, my pages say: Gift List, Family Traditions, To do and Recipes.

Here’s a photo of the back:

Tips to creating this project:

Step 1: Choose the cardstock and decorative paper that you would like to use in your kit.

Step 2: Cut 6 strips of cardstock and/or decorative paper into 4 1/2″ x 12″

Step 3: Pick 5 of the strips from above and cut them in 2 pieces of 4 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ and 4 1/2″ x 7 3/4″  (This may change depending the size of your folder pocket)

Step 4: Use a bone folder to create an accordion fold in your folder.

Step 5: Decorate your folder using your cut paper from step 3. The remaining uncut strip is used for the back cover. I used modge podge to adhere the papers to the folder.

Step 6: Cut 2 pieces of Whisper White cardstock (8 1/2×11 size) to 4 1/4″ x 11″ to use for your inside pages.

Step 7: Embellish your white cardstock as desired and add to your pockets.

Step 8: Use Sticky Strip to adhere Ribbon to front of folder only. (Real Red Grosgrain recommended)

Ta da….A fun Organizer in 8 easy steps!
