A Special Christmas Gift (a little late in sharing)

I know I’m late in showcasing this…but, I couldn’t help but share it with all of you even if I’m behind. (The life of a mom with 3 kids…nothing ever gets quite done on time!)

This lovely gift was dropped off by one of my customers, Diane Daines just before Christmas. It was so sweet of her to think of me, don’t you think?! Diane has been featured here before as a featured stamper. She is a talented crafter in ever way!

The box fit this beautiful ornament perfectly. I’ve never seen this type of work with beads before…I’m not sure what it’s really called, but, I like to call it an ornament "skirt". So cute! AND it looked so nice on my Christmas tree.

I don’t know about you, but, our family loves to add a few special ornaments to our tree every year. We date each one with a gold pen and part of our Christmas tradition is to reminance about each one. My kids just love looking at all of them and remembering when and where we got them.

Thanks Diane for adding a special ornament to our tree that we can cherish each year!

Have a HAPPY STAMPING DAY! Josee

p.s. In the upcoming days…I’ll be posting some awesome samples shared by some of my downline lately at some of our demonstrator events! The samples are great and I know you’ll want to come back to check it out!

Christmas Cheer from Newfoundland

You know you’re loved when….

I received this fabulous Christmas card from my downline team in Newfoundland this year - they made this card and each one of them signed it - how nice is that!  Thanks so much ladies - I proudly display it my stamping studio for all to see!

Handmade Gift Exchange

At our team Christmas Party this year, we each brought a handmade gift to be exchanged - and the gifts shared were amazing!

I received this beautiful angel, made by Trina St. Michel.  My eldest daughter was overjoyed with this ‘win’ and has made it well known that this angel is to become one of our most prominently displayed Christmas decorations both this year and in years to come!  Thanks so much Trina - you have made both my daughter and me very happy ladies this Christmas!

For my contribution, I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful lady at my church make this table runner for me.  The gloves were stamped (by me!) using the Punch Pals stamp set before being sewn on as part of this runner. Believe me, I was sad to part with this gift!

Santa Pants

Here’s one of the most adorable Christmas ideas I’ve come across this season!  This is an original idea by Kathie McGuire (Santa Pants Instructions) and I just love it!  I used it as a door prize for a downline meeting and it was so fantastic I had to make two to keep one for myself!  I filled it with mint patties decorated with a snowman made from the Cold Play stamp set and the scallop circle punch.   You could use a white gel pen to draw the stitches or if you’re feeling particularly crafty, you can sew them with your sewing machine.

Hope it makes you smile too!

BTW, if you love Cold Play- don’t forget that it’s retiring, so, make sure you order it before Dec. 30th! You can find the Retiring List here!

Have a HAPPY STAMPING! Day!  Josee

Ornaments - Stampin’ Up! style!

Here are 3 fabulous ornament ideas for you to try:

Ornament Idea #1 - Let it Snow Ornament

You know you’ve made a wonderful project when your husband makes a point to tell you he likes it (to quote him, "one of my favourite things you’ve made")!

This was an original idea by Heather Summers, but I modified this adorable ornament to instead use clear embossing powder mixed with a very tiny amount of white to capture the ’snowing’ look (a previous mixing mistake turned good!).  The adorable snowmen were made using my large oval punch and the Cold Play stamp set.

I love this ornament - and even sent it out with tons of Christmas cards this year to share it with others!

Ornament Idea #2 - Scallop Punch Ornament

Using the Scallop Circle Punch and some embellishments from the Pretties Kit, this fun ornament can be a great craft idea to do with your kids or just a great way to add some Christmas spirit to your home!

This is an original idea by Ann M. Clemmer and I just love it!

Ornament Idea #3 - 3D Snowman Ornament

This was a fabulous idea shared by Trina St. Michael at our team Christmas Party.   Using small tins (Trina got them at Lee Valley Tools), we built these ornaments using some designer paper and a fun new technique of adding glitter to pop-up glue dots to make it look like rolling snow! Thanks for much for sharing Trina!

Great Simple Gift Ideas!

Two great gift ideas:

Gift Card Holder

How do you wrap a gift card you ask!?  You can’t go wrong with this beautiful and personalized card holder!  Using The Snowflake SpotAll in the Family and of course Family Accessories (for the presents), this idea is surprisingly easy and quick to make, given how detailed it does appear in the end.

An original idea by Patty Bennett - we made this cute card holder at our annual team Christmas Party with huge success!

Quick tips:

  • Cut cardstock to 4-1/4"x11"
  • Score at 3", 5-1/2" and 8"
  • Fold in 1/2 and then fold the outside flaps backwards in toward the center.

    Vellum Votive Boat

What a fabulous thinking-outside-the-box stamping idea!  Very simple votive holder made with vellum (2 pieces attached with ribbon) and some coloured cardstock - you just slide this holder over a small glass candle holder and it adds a wonderful cheery feeling!
