Without you I find myself
Wanting to be lost again. – Author Unknown

Where there is love there is life. – Mahatma Gandhi

For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was
not my lips you kissed, but my soul. – Judy Garland

Whatever our souls are made of, yours and mine are the same. – Emily Bronte

How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.- Unknown

The heart has its reasons that reason knows nothing of. – Blaise Pascal

His Hello, was the end of her endings.
Her laugh, was their first step down the aisle.
His hand, would be hers to hold forever.
Her forever, was as simple as his smile.
He said, She was what was missing.
She said instantly she knew.
She was a question to be answered…
and his answer was I Do – Author Unknown

Just because somebody doesn’t love you the way you want them to, doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have. – Author Unknown

A bell is no bell ’til you ring it,
A song is no song ’til you sing it,
And love in your heart
Wasn’t put there to stay -
Love isn’t love
‘Til you give it away. – Oscar Hammerstein

As sweet and musical
As bright Apollo’s lute, strung with his hair;
And when Love speaks, the voice of all the gods
Makes heaven drowsy with the harmony. – William Shakespeare

And now these three remain:
Faith, Hope and Love,
but the greatest of these is Love. – 1 Corinthians 13:13

Love bears all things,
Believes all things,
Hopes all things,
Endures all things.
Love never fails. – 1 Corinthians 13:7,8

I love you
Not only for what you are
But for what I am
When I am with you. – Roy Croft

My Heart has found its home in you
And once nestled in your arms
Nothing else would do
My heart wants only you.
My eyes have found their resting place
And once my arms found your embrace
My eyes just could not leave your face
My eyes see only you.
My ears have found the sound they love
Your voice is like music from above
My ears love to hear the sound of your voice so dear.
My ears hear only you.
My soulmate you are and always shall be
For my heart is full of love you see
I will love you faithfully and true,
For my heart has found its home in you. – Thena Smith

Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place. – Zora Neale Hurston

Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind,
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind. – William Shakespeare

We loved with a love that was more than love. – Edgar Allan Poe

A kiss, when all is said, what is it?
A rosy dot placed on the "i" in loving;
‘Tis a secret told to the mouth instead of to the ear. – Edmond Rostand

Sweet Stuff

Today’s share is YUMMY!!!! OK…so I might have sampled some of these before completing these projects..but, can you blame me??? Who can make Valentine’s treats without some taste testing. I mean…we wouldn’t want to give the kids something that doesn’t taste good. hee, hee. I haven’t decided which to make for my kids classes.

Any opinions?

Project 1:
I found the lollipop sticks at Bulk Barn and punched a 1/4" circle through the white cardstock, stuck the stick right through the Hershey Kiss. Be careful not to push too hard into the kiss as it will break it apart. Or press REALLY hard and then you have to eat those…right?! :)

Project 2: I used a peppermint patty to create and sandwiched it between the 2 punched out scallop circles. (Thanks Marlayne for the idea! So cute!)

Here’s a Side View:

Project 3: This last project, I  used a 3/16 circle punch. The stick of the lollipop fit perfectly.

Each project used the So Many Scallops stamp set, Regal Rose Ink and the Scallop Circle Punch!

So, which one do you like better??? Feel free to leave me a comment to help me decide!

Masculine Valentine’s Day Card

Here’s a fun Valentine’s Day card I made!  I thought it was a nice masculine card that my husband wouldn’t cringe at. You know how it is…you try to make a card for a man…and it’s difficult to not add some kind of flower or frilly ribbon. My husband always likes cards with "lots going on"…his words, not mine.

To colour the tree, I used my aquapainter with Always Artichoke as the base and Handsome Hunter for the darker highlights. For the trunk I used Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa.

I used the distressing tool on the Cutter Kit to create a roughed up edge on my Naturals Ivory and Chocolate Chip layers. I love this little kit! You have a cutter, a perforator, a scoring blade and the distressing too.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Lovely as a Tree, Sanded, Holidays & Wishes
Cardstock: Blue Bayou, Creamy Caramel, Naturals Ivory, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Stazon Black, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Always Artichoke, Handsome Hunter
Accessories: Cutter Kit, Corner Rounder, Paper Piercing Tool, Jumbo Pewter Eyelets, Aquapainter, Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon, Crop-A-Dile
Technique: Distressing, Watercoloring, Direct to Paper

For the Greeting, I used "Happy Valentine’s Day" from Holidays & Wishes. I cut out a rectangle piece, than used my Corner Rounder punch to create the rounded edges. You would get a similar look using the Key Tag punch, but, apparently- I don’t own it. (It’s now on my list to buy! hee, hee). I then used my Crop-A-Dile  to add a Pewter Jumbo Eyelets and added some Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon.

On the Creamy Caramel layer, I stamped the Sanded Background stamp and some randomn leaves from Lovely as a Tree with Creamy Caramel Ink. I then used my Paper Piercing tool out of my Crafter’s Tool kit  to add some small holes.

So, what do you think??? Yes, I’m looking for some shameless feedback! Leave me a comment to let me know what you think!!!
Have a HAPPY STAMPING DAY! Josee

Happy 2008!!!

Can you believe it’s 2008? I hope you had a lovely New Year’s! My family and I enjoyed the amazing Ottawa Fireworks display downtown to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the choice of Ottawa as the Capital of Canada. I think it was the BEST fireworks display we’ve ever seen. Not sure it this will work, but, if you want to see it…click HERE to see a You Tube video of it. It’s worth checking out!

The fireworks were just before 7pm and then drove over to the Centrepointe skating rink for skating and hot chocolate. It was a really nice evening. We decided on New Year’s day that we hadn’t had enough turkey yet…so, we made another. Yum, yum, yum!!! I think we’ll do a New Year’s Turkey ever year!

I’d love to hear what you did! Leave me a comment and let me know what fun you had on New Year’s!

I asked my oldest daughter to choose a couple of cards to feature on my blog today and these were her top picks. These 2 cards were received in my latest card swap with members of my downline. We swapped cards using stamps out of the Spring-Summer Collection Preview Catalogue. The stamp set, HAPPY HEART DAY, is part of the Valentine’s Day Bundle Promotion.

This first card was made by Linda Willman.

I love how she used a part circle to stamp the elephant on.
