my digital studio
I love my new smart phone wallpaper!
It really doesn't take me much to make me happy!!! Stampin' Up! has been so wonderful at sharing wallpapers for us demonstrators to add to our cell phones…BUT for some reason none of them worked for my phone. They were either too bright or too busy…so, I decided to make my own using MY DIGITAL STUDIO. I can't describe just how much I love this program! You can do so much with it!
Here's what I created:

Quick Instructions:
-I started with an 8.5×11 page in my digital studio and added one of the papers from the new Sweet Pea Digital Kit. (I love this kit…it's by far my favourite so far!!!)
-I added the Stampin' Up! logo and the text at the top.
-I clicked on "share project" and exported it as a high resolution jpg.
-I opened the page in a paint program to darken the design as I found it too bright on my phone.
-I connected my phone to my computer and copied the picture from my computer to my picture folder on my phone.
-I then selected the photo and added it as a wallpaper.
Jo's Simple Tips:
-with my phone, I knew approx. where I wanted the design to be so that it didn't interfere with what was already on my screen.
-It took me about 3 times making small changes to the location of the design to make the layout fit with my phone.
-I didn't have to resize the jpeg as my phone made it the right size.
Here's what my new wallpaper looks like on my phone…don't you just love it?

Hope you had a Merry Christmas & last chance to get 20% off your order!
Just thought I'd take a quick moment to catch up now that Christmas is over! I hope you had a great time celebrating with family and friends. We enjoyed our Christmas…but, as always it went too quickly. We ate 3 turkeys (yum), were part of a play at church (scary) and got some awesome gifts. I got a sewing machine (which I'm excited to learn to use) and a new Keurig Coffee maker (I can't wait to introduce it at my Open House).
Here's one of the gifts I gave to my husband at Christmas. I used My Digital studio to make a 12×12 page and then framed it. For the letters, I used the Big Shot to cut out some textured Chocolate Chip cardstock. What do you think?!
Just a few reminders before I go:

I've been working on my Christmas pages using My Digital Studio and have a bunch already done to share! Most of these were started with template pages that I edited slightly. Hope you like them:

Our INKredible Canadian Stamping Divas party!
What a busy weekend I had! On Friday, my son had soccer….Saturday, I brought my kids to a Christmas shop at Kanata Baptist Church where they get to select and wrap gifts for everyone on their list (all by themselves or with a helper if needed). I even sent in my 2 year old with a helper and she came out with gifts for everyone including herself…lol! Saturday night was our yearly Team Christmas party! A bunch of our "Stamping Divas" share a potluck dinner, had a gift exchange and stamped together…we really had a wonderful time. Sunday we went to Church and then my Husband & I and our oldest went to the Salvation Army downtown Ottawa with our church to serve dinner to the less fortunate. It was quite an experience that really made me be appreciative of my BLESSINGS! It was a really busy weekend but a really good one!
First…here's my little one getting ready for the party…the hat didn't last long, so, I'm glad that I at least got a photo.
Here are some quick My Digital Studio pages I created of our party! We really had blast…the food was so good, the gifts were amazing and of course it was amazing to catch up with some amazing women that I honestly don't get to see enough! They are a great bunch!

(I know the logo on the pages doesn't look very good, but, it looks great when you print it! I had to shrink the image to fit in this screen!)
The pages were all made with our Christmas Cocoa II digital kit. I actually got this kit for free when I completed the certification program for My Digital Studio.

Today my 2 year old & I even got some Christmas shopping done….it seems each year, I finish all the Christmas stuff so late that I'm trying hard to be organized. I bought a couple gifts for my kids, one for my hubby and one for me…hee, hee! I picked up my photo cards at the same time. I created them with My Digital Studio and then got them printed at a photolab! It was super easy! It's not too late to ask Santa for your own My Digital Studio!!!
Here's the picture I "didn't" use on my card. For the real one, I'll keep it a secret until I've sent them out. So,,,here's the rejected card…lol. I still love this one, but, we chose to add a photo of the whole family…yes, sometimes parents are in the picture!

HELPFUL TIPS on creating a 4×6 photo card
- Open up a 6×6 card
- Select a square punch and size it to 4×6. Either colour fill or paper fill your punch shape.
- Add a photo box and size it to the size you would like.
- Double click on it to select your photo. (I then clicked on photo effect and changed it to B&W)
- Add embellishments and text
- Export the project as a jpeg and upload it to your photo editing softward.
- Crop off the white space (the 2" at the bottom)
All done! All you have left to do is send it to your local photolab and have them printed!!! It only cost me 15 cents each! WOW!!!
