Good Morning!

If you follow my Facebook page, you may have seen that last weekend I was so excited to be able to attend a Stampin' Up On Stage event here in Ottawa! It was Stampin' Up's first time in Ottawa so it was a great opportunity for many of the Canadian demonstrators to get together, some for the first time!stampin-up-onstage-ottawaI am very proud to say that I earned some awards at this event! It's so exciting to hear your name called to come up on stage! I have YOU, my customers to thank for that! Having my own Stampin' Up business for the last 14 years would not be what it is without wonderful people like you to share my love of stamping with! So, THANK YOU!

Imagine my surprise and delight when I saw these slides show up on the big screen…

Thanks to my amazing customers, I earned the spot of #2 Demonstrator of the Year in Canada, and #52 Globally! Out of 46,700 demonstrators world wide, I am pretty proud of that! I also earned #4 for Recruiting in Canada and #5 for Leadership in Canada! A huge THANK YOU to my wonderful Inky Divas demonstrator team! They have really worked so hard over the past year!

The lovely packaging my awards came in. Aren't those such cute tags?

The perks of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator is not only attending events like this, earning awards, seeing old friends and making new ones, but also getting a first look and feel on new products coming soon! That is one of my favorite parts of being a demonstrator, because not only do we get the 'first peek' at these new products, but we also get to order them so we can get creating with them! At an event like this with Stampin' Up, we had the opportunity to create with the new products right there! Here are two of the projects I had the opportunity to create.

Founders Circle -Day 4

Posted on September 24, 2012September 24, 2012 by Josee

So sorry for my absence, last week got over-taken with getting ready for my Mega Stamp Day this past Saturday. I'll for sure post pictures from it this week for you!

Today I wanted to share some photos from my last day at Founders. It was actually nice on the Saturday to have a "free day". Some of the ladies went hiking or repelling…but, I chose to sleep in and then just chat. I did some of my make and take and then later on went out for dinner with some friends.

I think this is the funniest picture to show you….went we went to the Japanese Steak House for dinner…we had the funniest hibachi guy ever and near the end of the dinner, he started flinging shrimp into all of our mouths. When he tried getting it into my mouth, he missed it and got it right on to my glasses.
It was hilarious and a great time with some great friends!

I thought I'd share another card from my swap…today's card was made by the very talented Stella Mackay.

Founders Circle -Day 3

Posted on September 18, 2012 by Josee

Day 3 of the Founders Circle Trip was the longest of them all. We got on a bus around 7am and only returned around 10pm. The trip was worth it, but, I was so ready to get off the bus at the end!!!

I got to sit with Jennifer Cotton on the bus and we chatted the whole way…it made the bus ride actually go by much quicker that way. I love how going to this trip, I get to meet amazing people I would never had met before and we get to become good friends!

We started by going to Kanab, Stampin' Up!'s manufacturing facility and were welcome by their amazing staff with signs and high 5's.

We are not allowed to take photos inside the facility…but, I'm here to say that Stampin' Up! is a truly amazing company that continuously strives to work smarter not harder. The process changes each year and just keeps getting better!

The picture below is in the lobby of Kanab with Cynthia Millan, Maggie Patterson & Kay Smith.

We enjoyed a great lunch  and then hopped back on the bus to go to our secret destination. They always like to keep it a surprise!

Our secret destination and event was a leisurly boat ride through the Glen Canyon (Colorado River).

We spent about 3 hours on the boat, though we did get to get off half way through to explore a bit and stretch our legs. Once we were done, we picked up our dinners that came in these beautiful bags and hopped back on the bus to watch a movie and chat!

Want to see another swap card? Here's a elegant card made by Penny Thomas.

Founders Circle 2012- Day 2

Posted on September 17, 2012September 17, 2012 by Josee

Now that I'm home and somewhat rested, I can get back to a regular rountine. I had an absolutely wonderful time last week at Founders and today I thought I'd share some highlights from Day 2.

Today I spent most of the day visiting and eating candy…how fun is that?! The evening of day 2, we had our Card Swap (I came home with 120 truly incredible cards) AND PJ party!

           Deb Valder                      &           Dawn Olchefske
It was so great seeing members of last year's Advisory Board again. I truly love these ladies, they are amazing!

After relaxing all day, I had dinner at Olive Garden with the Inky Divas and some of our friends.

The evening began with getting in our PJ's for the party and when we arrived, we received the cutest Swap Tote. (The picture above is Angie Juda, me, Desiree Spenst & Cynthia Millan)

Here we are getting ready to trade cards. One of the highlights of this retreat is that we bring 120 identical cards and get to trade them for 120 different cards to bring home. There is so much talent within these amazing ladies!

We had tons of yummy goodies, Stampin' Up! style of course!!! All decorated pretty and definetely yummy! PLUS when we got back to our room, we received a really soft blanket as our pillow gift!

Want to see a card from our swap?! Here's an adorable Halloween card that I received from Ann Clemmer.

She used the FRIGHTENING FELINE & MONSTER MUNCHIES stamp sets with the SPIDER WEB EMBOSSING FOLDER. Wouldn't this make a great card to give to your child's teacher or to a friend?

Founders Circle Day 1

Posted on September 12, 2012September 13, 2012 by Josee

Today was the first day of the Founders Circle Trip where Stampin' Up! is pampering the the Top Demonstrators of the Year. I feel both honoured and blessed to have earn this amazing trip.

When we arrived we were welcomed by the amazing staff who have spent countless hours planning this event just for us. Their attention to detail and each year's unique theme is something I look forward to each year I've been here. This year's theme is a beachy cape cod style and it's amazing to see how they've used this theme in everything they do.

One of the "yummy" parts each year is their special treats and candy! Who wouldn't want candy 24-7?! lol…just don't tell my kids!

Check out what is on our doors!  This is going to look great in my stamp room!!!

We had a lovely welcome reception where we got to play a get to know you game and meet the members of our "team" for the week. We got to sit at our dinner reception with our team and will also get to do one more thing with them normally…but it's always some kind of suprise event.

Check out our dinner…yum! This is something I would NEVER have at home so it was really great to eat crab here since my family won't have it!

At the end of the night we got to come back to our room to our first pillow gift…a new stamp set plus our make and take supplies!

I just can't wait till day 2 where we will have our PJ party!! See you soon!

AMAZING SPECIAL EXTENDED THROUGH SEPT. 16. You're not too late…Purchase the Stampin' Up! $125 Starter Kit before Sept. 16 and get the Halloween Printer's Tray Project Kit and Toxic Treats stamp set FREE ($75 value).
