Demonstrator Event

Gifts Galore! I am truly SPOILED!

I returned from Founder’s Circle (a retreat earned by the top demonstrators) on Sunday night with a suitcase that nearly wouldn’t shut! I got to make some new friends (Hi Missy), spend time with Shelli Gardner and some of her amazing employees and enjoy the very picturesque St. George, Utah! While there, Stampin’ Up! showered us with lovely "Pillow Gifts". I thought I’d share the gifts we got this past week just to show you how spoiled we really were!

Each one of us was welcomed by our very own name plaque on our doors! This made it very handy to find our friends! The whole Hotel was filled with Stampin’ Up! demonstrators…it was nice to be able to have our very own "place!"

A new make up bag…which was filled with a new stamp set, some ink pads and a roll of lovely ribbon!

A pen and note book set to take notes at our Pyjama Party and Business Share night!

A lovely new monogram necklace!

A sweet wallet that matches our lovely pink purse we received before Founder’s Circle.

AND lastly a snuggly pink blanket!

It’s almost feels like it’s too much doesn’t it? NAH….it’s the perfect amount! :)

More to come about Founder’s tomorrow!

Hugs, Josee

Fun stamping with demonstrators-part 1

Last night, I hosted a stamp night with demonstrators in my group. Each demonstrator got to make 10 different cards and brought enough supplies for 10 people to make her card. It’s always so much fun to see what people come up with and it’s definetely a fun social night too. It’s called a shoebox swap, and it’s kind of like a free class for demonstrators!  What could be better than getting together to stamp?!

Today I’ll share part 1 of the cards we made and I’ll show you the second set tomorrow:

Aren’t they lovely??? Come back tomorrow to see the remainder of them!

Have a HAPPY STAMPING DAY! Josee

Don’t you want to be a stamping Diva?

I’m offering a DEMONSTRATOR SPECIAL: sign up before Jan. 20th, and you’ll get 5 free classic ink pads from me absolutely FREE!

On Friday, I hosted our quarterly Demonstrator Diva Night. My team has a chance to earn a spot at this special and exclusive event where they get to enjoy making some special stamped projects, friendships with other top demonstrators, yummy goodies and best of all SPA services.

Each demonstrator can get free spa dollars from me for different reasons such as bringing a make and take, a demonstration, getting promoted in their SU business or bringing a snack. On Friday 7 of us got pedicures and 1 manicure. Nothing like having pretty feet! :)

We had 3 fun make and take’s!

The first project was one of my club projects from this month:

In this project, we used the versamark plus a classic ink pad to create a sticky ink that we can emboss with. Have you ever done that?! It’s so easy.

Directions:
1) Ink your stamp in the versamark ink
2) Now place it in your Classic ink pad (in this example I used Ruby Red)
3) Then stamp it on your paper
4) Add your clear embossing Powder
5) Heat with your Embossing tool (no, a hair dryer DOES NOT work!)

Voila! Instant coloured embossing! Now you can emboss with any colour ink you have! Fun!!!

The second project created by Anne Morin, a very talented Quebec demonstrator in my group was this adorable envelope! It closes using 4 hearts from the Time Well Spent stamp set. Did I ever mention that this level 3 hostess stamp set was sent to ALL the demonstrator absolutely FREE, FREE, FREE!!! That’s over 50,000 of these sets sent out. Yikes!! What an awesome perk of being a demonstrator.

Here’s what it looks like closed.

Here’s what it look like opened.

And here’s the matching card that fits inside perfectly! Don’t you just love it?

The last make and take we had was brought by Trina St. Michael. She prepared this calendar using a CD case. What I love about it is that it uses almost all of my favourite in the SU catalogue: Embrace Life Stamp set, Ginger Blossom Paper, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and Rhinestone Brads…oh my…how can you go wrong with all of these wonderful things. Ok, I feel like I should break into a song now. lol. Sorry about that. hee, hee

January is definetely a time for making that special calendar and I’m sure this great project by Trina will surely inspire you to create your own!

We had a great time at our Diva Night and I’d love to have you join me next time. If you’ve ever thought of joining Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator- now is the time!

I’m offering a DEMONSTRATOR SPECIAL: sign up before Jan. 20th, and you’ll get 5 free classic ink pads from me absolutely FREE! Make sure you contact me soon so I can answer any questions you might have and get you on your way to getting your own discount on your supplies or starting to make some extra money! You can go to my Demonstrator Information Page for more info.

Have a HAPPY STAMPING DAY! Josee

Ornaments - Stampin’ Up! style!

Here are 3 fabulous ornament ideas for you to try:

Ornament Idea #1 - Let it Snow Ornament

You know you’ve made a wonderful project when your husband makes a point to tell you he likes it (to quote him, "one of my favourite things you’ve made")!

This was an original idea by Heather Summers, but I modified this adorable ornament to instead use clear embossing powder mixed with a very tiny amount of white to capture the ’snowing’ look (a previous mixing mistake turned good!).  The adorable snowmen were made using my large oval punch and the Cold Play stamp set.

I love this ornament - and even sent it out with tons of Christmas cards this year to share it with others!

Ornament Idea #2 - Scallop Punch Ornament

Using the Scallop Circle Punch and some embellishments from the Pretties Kit, this fun ornament can be a great craft idea to do with your kids or just a great way to add some Christmas spirit to your home!

This is an original idea by Ann M. Clemmer and I just love it!

Ornament Idea #3 - 3D Snowman Ornament

This was a fabulous idea shared by Trina St. Michael at our team Christmas Party.   Using small tins (Trina got them at Lee Valley Tools), we built these ornaments using some designer paper and a fun new technique of adding glitter to pop-up glue dots to make it look like rolling snow! Thanks for much for sharing Trina!

Have a HAPPY STAMPING Day!  Josee

Great Simple Gift Ideas!

Two great gift ideas:

Gift Card Holder

How do you wrap a gift card you ask!?  You can’t go wrong with this beautiful and personalized card holder!  Using The Snowflake SpotAll in the Family and of course Family Accessories (for the presents), this idea is surprisingly easy and quick to make, given how detailed it does appear in the end.

An original idea by Patty Bennett - we made this cute card holder at our annual team Christmas Party with huge success!

Quick tips:

  • Cut cardstock to 4-1/4"x11"
  • Score at 3", 5-1/2" and 8"
  • Fold in 1/2 and then fold the outside flaps backwards in toward the center.

    Vellum Votive Boat

What a fabulous thinking-outside-the-box stamping idea!  Very simple votive holder made with vellum (2 pieces attached with ribbon) and some coloured cardstock - you just slide this holder over a small glass candle holder and it adds a wonderful cheery feeling!

Have a HAPPY STAMPING Day!  Josee

Cookies, stamping and friends; what could be better!?

This past week, I was invited to attend Marlayne Hardy’s group Christmas Party and I had such a wonderful time. (Marlayne is one of my downline who joined Stampin Up over 5 years ago and I’m so happy to have her as part of my group and as a friend.)

As part of her party, Marlayne organized a cookie exchange. Everyone involved had to bake 5 dozen cookies. I definetely had some "what was I thinking" moments while making them last minute! The finally got finished and packaged by about 6pm and the party started 7…nothing like leaving things to the last minute. I did enjoy all the yummy cookies I got back so it was definetely all worth it!

Here are the 3 awesome make and takes that we got to make. Here are 2 of them!

    Make and Take 1

    Make and Take 2

Weren’t they both so cute, cute, cute!? Thanks so much Marlayne for inviting me!

Have a HAPPY STAMPING DAY! Josee

p.s. BTW, Did you notice my new watermark? I got a few made by Melissa Kulesa from www.stampingthroughthetulipsdesign.blogspot.com. She did a fabulous job on my watermark and header and I would highly recommend her! Make sure you go check her out!

    Demonstrator Gathering-fun, sharing and stamping!!!

We had an absolutely fabulous time last night at my Team Gathering….we got together to eat (weren’t those Bite-size cheesecakes to die for???"), share ideas and of course STAMP!!!

My group, the INKredible Canadian Stampers LOVE TO SHARE!!! Our share table was full of great stamping ideas including gift tags, cards, a treasure box, a stamped candle, scrapbook pages, a patterned paper bow….I could go on and on.

If you’ve ever thought of becoming a demonstrator (for the disount or the income), you really should join NOW! We’re getting ready for our annual Team Christmas Potluck & Gift Exchange and it really is a highlight of the year! Being a demonstrator is really a GIFT that everyone deserves for Christmas. Read below for more information.

Alright onto the sharing….here are the 3 make and take’s that we stamped last night! This first one uses Season of Joy from the Holiday Mini. I think this is the season’s BEST selling Christmas sets and if you love it too, don’t forget you only have until of the Nov. 30th to purchase it.

This card idea was from Jill Olsen who swapped it at the Founder’s Circle Trip that I went to in September.

These next 2 projects were brought by the extremely creative, Trina St. Michael as make and take’s for everyone to stamp.

The first one sample uses the stamp set Holiday Tag Team. This set features 14 different stamps that can be easily used for both cards and tags. Did you know that the stamps in this set cost only $2.78 each? What a deal!!!

The second project that Trina brought is the cutest idea for a tag!! I just love it! Not only did we get to make this adorable tag, but, we got to Glitter it all!!! I think some of the ladies got so into it, they went a bit glitter crazy (Tracie)…hee, hee.

The next projects were brought as demonstrations- it really was a stamping EXTRAVAGANZA.

This awesome card was demonstrated by Tracie St. Louis. She showed us all the steps to create it. This technique called a Tag Punch Star or Tag Punch Starburst has been very popular amongst the demonstrators lately and I know for me…I learn best by seeing- so, I was so glad to see it demonstrated. Did you notice how Tracie LOVES glitter??? We should call her the Glitter Queen!

Linda Willman demonstrated this card using Lovely as a Tree. This set is perfect for Holiday Cards and also great for Masculine Cards. Linda showed us how to use reverse masking to create a focal point on the card. She also showed us how to use heat and stick powder to add glitter to the trees. Such as simple and elegant card!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the projects…feel free to leave the ladies a comment below- I know they’d love it!

If you’d like more information on becoming a demonstator, you can go to my DEMONSTRATOR INFORMATION PAGE. Feel free to contact me with any questions…I’d love to help!
