Are you ready for more??? Here are the next last 2 gifts that were exchanged at our Chirstmas Party!

The first one is a lovely decorate frame using the Stampin’ Up! Statement of the Heart. Created by Karen Daley

The second is a beautiful set of coasters created by Karine Bailey. Did you know that you can stamp on tissue paper with Classic Ink and then modge podge it onto the tile? I didn’t know this….you do have to be careful though cause the ink does run a bit.
(Tip from Karine: A trick to keep the ink from running is to mod podge the tile, apply (stamped)tissue, let dry, then seal with krylon. If you mod podge a second time after applying the tissue, I found the ink ran a bit, however, this technique was very popular with my club ladies because it made the whole thing look watercoloured.)

Jo-Ann Pullen created this beautiful hot chocolate kit. Can you tell they’re "test tubes" in the box…how fun is that?! In case you’re wondering…she purchased them from Indigo a science supply store. (Canada) I’m not sure if I could actually use it…this one would definetely go on my shelf! hee, hee!

This gift was created by Trina St. Michael…she purchased these coasters from Shoppers Drug Mart and they are so unique as you can change the insert to suit your mood. You can stamp inserts for every season and have them ready! I still haven’t had a chance to go to Shopper’s to buy mine…hopefully they’ll still have them!

Rosalie Crich made these lovely Glitter Ornament set. She use glitter and re-inkers for the inside and then decorated them all with Rub-On’s!

Two of the items exchanged at our Christmas Party were these fabulous Card Tins.

The first one was the gift that I got!!! I’m so happy to have it…inside are dividers that will allow me to organize my card by category! It was made by Kathryn Curtis and I have to say she did a fabulous job! My cards will be so happy!

The second tin was created by Marlayne Hardy and as a bonus she included matching cards inside. They were really lovely!

Gift Exchange-part 1

I hosted our yearly Team Christmas Potluck and Gift Exchange this past weekend. Each of us brought a stamped gift to exchange in a Chinese Auction. If you’ve never heard what that is…it’s where you get to STEAL gifts!!! So much fun! I’ll be starting to share with you some of the gifts that were exchanged…they were all wonderful!

This one is the gift that I made…I decided to create a simple framed shadow box.

First here’s my packaging…I thought I’d decorate it Stampin’ Up! style!

For my frame, I used both Rub-On’s (inside frame) and Decor Elements (on glass).

Santa’s Treat Box

For my club members, I normally prepare 2 fun projects and techniques…but, it was our last get-together before Christmas, so we made this adorable bonus project. It uses TONS of punches…but was so fun to do!

Isn’t it the cutest? You can use it to add some special "yummies" and hang it on your tree or add to your Christmas place settings!

I completely cased this idea from Samantha Parisi’s blog…she made some adorable other boxes too-make sure you go check them out!

To make this project, click below:

Cut cardstock to 4 1/4" x 11"
Score at 5 1/2"
Find center of both short ends and mark it with a pencil
Score a diagonal line from your pencil mark to the end of each side of your exisiting score mark.
Fold all your score lines.
Bring in your ends and punch holes on both sides and add your ribbon to close.

Also to note…you’ll find a tutorial with pictures on Splitcoastampers HERE but the dimensions are a bit different than the one I made.

Word Window-bottom of hat
1 3/8" circle-face
1/2" Circle-nose
1/4" Circle-eyes
5-petal Flower-mustache
Scallop Circle-beard
1/4" Square-inside belt
3/4" Square-outside belt
