Belated Happy Birthday Card

Today's card is a slightly modified version of the card we created at my Open House this past weekend. Thank you to everyone who came out! Always a great time to see my customers face to face and meet new ones!  For the open house, it was a regular birthday card using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set from Stampin' Up's NEW 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue, but for this version I simply added the 'belated' punch out for an easy way to modify this card when you need a Belated Happy Birthday Card!

How To Make This Hand Stamped Card:

This card starts with a simple card base of Thick Whisper White cardstock. Then, I added a strip of Powder Pink Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper to the cardbase.

The Whisper White cardstock was cut with the largest Lots of Labels Framelits dies.

I then stamped the solid flower images from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set in Powder Pink ink, taking note of which direction the 'arrow' on the stamp is pointing.

Note: This 2-Step photopolymer stamp set features 'arrows' built into each 2-step stamp to allow you to easily line up the images. Take note of which direction those arrows are pointed when you stamp the first image (in this case the solid image), so that you can point the second stamped image (in this case the outline image) in the same direction for easy alignment!

Next I stamped the flower outline images in Berry Burst ink, making sure the 'arrows' on each stamp were pointing in the same directing as the solid stamped flowers.

The leaves from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set were then stamped in Lemon Lime Twist Ink.

Basic Black cardstock was die cut using the Happy Birthday Thinlit to create the easy, yet gorgeous greeting focal point. This was glued on to the stamped die cut using the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Once it was dried enough to stay on well, I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the die cut ensemble and adhered it to the cardfront.

I stamped the 'belated' message in Basic Black ink on a scrap of Whisper White and stamped the border, also from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist ink- then punched it out using the Classic Label punch. A few Mini Glue Dots were then used to add to the cardfront.
