May, 2009

This is serious stuff! (and fun too!)

I’m so excited!!! In case you’re not aware, the new catalogue is coming out July 1st with tons of new stamps AND my favourite section: "The accessories!"

I just want wait to see it and apparently demonstrators don’t have to wait much longer! We are able to get our complimentary copy much earlier than normal…starting June 1st, we are able to order it and it will be in my hot little hands 7-10 days later!!! Yippppeee!!!

So, what does this mean for you? Well, a couple of things really!

1) I’ll be able to better organize and prepare my open house and classes

2) You have the chance to join this month for only $99 and also get to order yours on June 1st! Ready to join the fun as a demonstrator? Click here for more info! OR check out more info here  about my Demonstrator Information night on May 25th

WARNING: June 1st will be a very important date!!! The "Last Chance Stamp Sets" list will be out listing all the stamps that will no longer be available in the new July catalogue. On the same day we will have the Retiring ACCESSORIES list. The accessories will only be availabe while supplies last...so, you’ll want to order them ASAP. Your best bet will be to order them directly online to ensure they don’t sell out. This is really important for those of you who love our In Colors. These will sell out quickly…so, make sure you get your ink refills and cardstock you need!

Hinged Card

I started a new stampers club this month and we made two really fun projects! One of the projects we made this fun Hinged card…I love how easy it is to make and it can double as a gift card holder too!

Directions

1. Stamp the greeting on the upper right hand area of the Barely Banana card base using Basic Gray.
2. Create a scalloped edge on the Basic Gray Cardstock using the Scallop Edge Punch. Randomly stamp the circles from Seeing Spots using Basic Gray Classic Ink.
3. Wrap the Apricot Appeal Grosgrain Ribbon around the Certainly Celery cardstock. Tie a knot using the smaller piece of ribbon.
4. Without adhering, line up the Basic Gray Bottom and Certainly Celery Top onto the Barely Banana Base, you should not see any Barely Banana at this point.  Mark with a pencil or hold the area where the Celery and Gray overlap. Holding together, punch the hole where your brad will go to create your hinge.
5. Apply Adhesive to the Basic Gray portion only, along the bottom and sides.  (Do not add adhesive to the top part!)  This will allow the Certainly Celery Hinge to move up and down.
6. Stamp the image using Basic Gray Classic Ink onto the Whisper White Cardstock and colour with Blender Pens and Classic Ink. Colour the inside of the flower with the Chocolate Chip Marker. Adhere to the Certainly Celery & Barely Banana layers.
7. Adhere the stamped image to the front of the card to help keep the hinged portion in place.

Measurements
4 ¼ by 5 ½ for base
4 ¼ by 3 for Top “hinged” portion
4 ¼ by 3 ½ for Bottom with scallop edge
1 ¾ by 2 for stamped image (layers are ¼ larger)

Two new May events!

I have barely recovered from my weekend. I ran in the Where’s Franktown run and I am NOT a runner what so ever. My daughter out ran me the whole time, how sad for me. We  ran 5km and about half way through my knee started to hurt…of course I kept going and a few hours after the run I barely could walk. It took about 2 days before I was able to walk properly again. I think before next year’s run I should actually train, don’t you?

I’m getting organized again this week with my business…and I’ve added these two great events to my calendar:

1) Demonstrator Information Night a la Chocolate
DATE: Monday May 25th 7pm
RSVP now
COST: Free
WHERE: Josee’s stamping Studio, Kanata
DETAILS: Attend this no-pressure evening where I’ll treat you to some real chocolate and all the information you need to decide whether Stampin’ Up! is right for you! This month you can start your own business for only $99 and this is a "job" you can’t be let go from! Be your own boss and make up your own hours while having a fun and profitable business.

There are many reasons why becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator  may be right for you, chocolate just might be one of them!

C is for the cash we earn

H is for the hours we choose to work

O is for the opportunities available

C is for the all-expense paid cruise we can earn each year

O is for the oodles of fun we have

L is for the love of stamping we share

A is for the awards we can earn all the time!

T is for the tax advantages for our families

E is for the self esteem we build

If you’d like to taste some of this low-calorie, low-carb CHOCOLATE, make sure you attend my Information evening or contact me  for more information!

Remember, you can join this month for only $99! Don’t wait!
