Demonstrator Gathering-fun, sharing and stamping!!!

We had an absolutely fabulous time last night at my Team Gathering….we got together to eat (weren’t those Bite-size cheesecakes to die for???"), share ideas and of course STAMP!!!

My group, the INKredible Canadian Stampers LOVE TO SHARE!!! Our share table was full of great stamping ideas including gift tags, cards, a treasure box, a stamped candle, scrapbook pages, a patterned paper bow….I could go on and on.

If you’ve ever thought of becoming a demonstrator (for the disount or the income), you really should join NOW! We’re getting ready for our annual Team Christmas Potluck & Gift Exchange and it really is a highlight of the year! Being a demonstrator is really a GIFT that everyone deserves for Christmas. Read below for more information.

Alright onto the sharing….here are the 3 make and take’s that we stamped last night! This first one uses Season of Joy from the Holiday Mini. I think this is the season’s BEST selling Christmas sets and if you love it too, don’t forget you only have until of the Nov. 30th to purchase it.

This card idea was from Jill Olsen who swapped it at the Founder’s Circle Trip that I went to in September.

These next 2 projects were brought by the extremely creative, Trina St. Michael as make and take’s for everyone to stamp.

The first one sample uses the stamp set Holiday Tag Team. This set features 14 different stamps that can be easily used for both cards and tags. Did you know that the stamps in this set cost only $2.78 each? What a deal!!!

The second project that Trina brought is the cutest idea for a tag!! I just love it! Not only did we get to make this adorable tag, but, we got to Glitter it all!!! I think some of the ladies got so into it, they went a bit glitter crazy (Tracie)…hee, hee.

The next projects were brought as demonstrations- it really was a stamping EXTRAVAGANZA.

This awesome card was demonstrated by Tracie St. Louis. She showed us all the steps to create it. This technique called a Tag Punch Star or Tag Punch Starburst has been very popular amongst the demonstrators lately and I know for me…I learn best by seeing- so, I was so glad to see it demonstrated. Did you notice how Tracie LOVES glitter??? We should call her the Glitter Queen!

Linda Willman demonstrated this card using Lovely as a Tree. This set is perfect for Holiday Cards and also great for Masculine Cards. Linda showed us how to use reverse masking to create a focal point on the card. She also showed us how to use heat and stick powder to add glitter to the trees. Such as simple and elegant card!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the projects…feel free to leave the ladies a comment below- I know they’d love it!

Featured Stamper: Olivia Nixon

Olivia created these 2 elegant cards using the Cerise Decorative paper found on page 172 of the catalogue. She heat embossed the accents in the middle using Silver Embossing Powder and punched them out using circle punches which created the perfect accents for her cards.

I love the fact that Olivia was able to create 2 wonderful cards mainly using decorative paper and very little stamping!

Thanks Olivia!

Happy Stamping,

What I love about Stampin’ Up!

Ok…this isn’t the only thing….but, I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the free stuff!!! We found out recently that all the demonstrators will be receiving a free stamp set called Time Well Spent! It’s going to be a level 3 hostess stamp set out of the Spring-Summer Collection 2008 Catalogue.

Some of the ladies have begun to receive them already and I have to tell you………the samples are AWESOME!!! I’ll be sure to share some when I get mine!

Did you know that Stampin’ Up! Canada started about 5 1/2 years ago?? Amazing how time flies…and I can honestly say…they just keep getting better!

While we’re on memory lane….here’s a picture of my stamping room when I first started with SU in April 2002.

If you haven’t seen my stamp room…I’ll take some photo’s to show you how much it’s changed & post them soon!

Featured Stamper: Tania Kronberg

Here are 2 great cards shared by Tania!

Tania2

I especially liked how Tania used the Stampin’ Spots to created this neat background on the sample above!

She said she used 4 different colours of blue to created this unique look! Such a great idea for using our ink spots in different ways!
